No where have I seen a poll of all the Republican candidates, ranking them against Hillary. I did hear of one poll reported on talk radio that I think had Trump 6 points behind Hillary. I think Trump is the hands on favorite when the issue is who has the broadest cross-party voter appeal. Trump's Democrat voter draw will be his celebrity status, which means a lot for low-information voters. Witness the two black gals who took on Meghan Kelly following the last debate. Their vote in closely contested ‘must-win’ states would be extremely valuable.

I hear you about Hillary. If she does win we will well and truly be done for. However everyday it gets worse for The Harridan. No one’s luck lasts forever.

In the Military, many, many, moons ago, I had to take a “Methods of Instruction Class” The Military “MOI” was,
Tell them what you are going to tell them-
Tell Them-
Tell them what you told them-

It appears to me that The Donald has the “MOI” down pat.
Go Trump....Airborne All the Way

Good article, I followed it all the way up to here:
"... This is not about Trump. He’s just the flag around which the dispossessed can rally. You can take down the flag and the people may disperse, but the dispossessed are still there. Someone will come along with a new flag eventually."
No, it is about Trump. The flag is irrelevant. He is his own man. And he has done something unique : up-turned the media apple-cart. I don't see any sign of anyone else out there being capable of that, no matter how able they are.

I think he’s right though, about trump’s lack of restraint. The Donald operates on emotion and speaks off the cuff. Alot of what he says is not necessary but we’re blowing that off because we like the rest of the message (get rid of illegals, build the fence, etc).

But I think there will come a time soon when he’ll react to something and it will turn the tide. I do believe Cruz will be there to pick it up because the message is right on the money.

"Trump went from sideshow at the start of the summer to leader of a revolution at the end of the summer...One thing that is clear is I was the only guy to figure out that Trump was Beppe Grillo. The other thing is the ossified and blinkered chattering classes are wholly unprepared for what’s happening to them right now."

Giuseppe Piero "Beppe" Grillo (Italian pronunciation: [ˈbɛppe ˈgrillo]; born 21 July 1948)
Wikipedia
In March 2013 a commentary piece in Der Spiegel called Grillo "The most dangerous man in Europe", described his rhetoric as anti-democratic, said he derived his energy from resentment, and cited the British writer Nicholas Farrell who has drawn parallels between Grillo and Benito Mussolini.[30]

The Donald is a tenacious and diligient one. He’s in it to win it and getting past obstacles is in his DNA. He learned it from his Dad as he wrote in ‘The Art of the Deal’.

I suspect you will be proved correct regarding Trump/Cruz and Article V. My hope is that Cruz will lead the charge before the election to express his support for Article V.

There is no doubt the next prez from the moment of his inauguration will have more in common with South American tyrants than with George Washington, for Obama has swept enormous despotic powers into the executive branch. We have an elective despotism, and the “elective” part will not last long if current events continue on their present course.

Our system has come to unfortunately rely almost entirely on executive branch precedent rather than on the supreme law of the land. The EPA and other administrative monsters must be slayed . . . constitutionally.

On top of all, the Bamster has said he will not allow his transformation to be reversed. Since he has the entire national ruling apparatus at his call, there is no telling what he and his thugs will pull if it appears the rat candidate will lose.

Oh my dear God, how we desperately need an Article V state convention before November 2016.

If the states were to expedite the Convention so as to call it this fall, I expect there would be some serious intervention from DC, involving, if necessary, the Sultan's Civilian Defense Force.

Likewise I expect that if Trump shows staying power and increases his polling to near 50̀ of the entire electorate before Super Tuesday, there will be a move to physically end his candidacy. The next Tyrant is slated to be sock-puppet Biden.

‘The elites have replaced close to 30% of the American voting public with third worlders with millions more to come. WW 2 was a picnic compared to this. We are being replaced. We are being demographically removed from the country....that can’t be fixed, ever.’

Well it could but it would be most unpleasant. After living here in the Deep South for a while I am convinced that the blackamoors are still scared sh*tless of white men and white America in general. From some time spent in Texas it seems that a good size slice of the ‘Hispanic’ population simply want to blend into white bread America except maybe at dinner time. These people detest the ‘La Raza ‘ crooks, pimps, criminals and loafers and do refer to them as ‘beaners’ once you get to know them. So I think it would be a fight between traditional Americans and those of various ethnicities that want to be Americans and the rest. It would be nasty but perhaps not as hard as some think. Liberals today are almost abject physical cowards by definition, race type blacks can be slapped down by a those with guts, criminal and lazy Latinos can be dealt with and sent packing after some gunplay, the same for the ‘militant muzzies’ who are growing like cancers in a lot of places. It could be done if real Americans aren't concerned with being called bad names by the turd world and the UN and have enough guts to use some of the huge number of firearms they possess.

Insightful and well-written. I think the author makes very salient points. Trump, whatever his core beliefs (if any), is healthy for our country at this time; not as a president, but as a banner carrier. Now, if only Ted Cruz is the last man standing, we have a chance.

Agreed. When I first heard of Trump’s candidacy, the thought that went through my head was something about the degeneracy that was inevitable when our culture has sunken as low as it has.

I’ve come to think there is more there as well, though the great unwashed low information voter is reacting about as I thought they might to the celebrity aspects of it all. I’ve been a bit more surprised by folks who I think of as actually having been paying attention to things glomming onto Trump bandwagon. I think what we’re really seeing more than anything else is the absolute disgust that people who =have= been paying attention for the GOP. The establishment is well and truely screwed at thins point and I don’t see how they pull out of it given that all their usual tactics of character assassination and fake outrage over perceived ‘gaffes’ have largely come to nought.

I’m still behind Cruz, and hope he can stay true to both us and himself through this most interesting political process.

When it comes down to it though, I’m having to start asking myself, “would you really pull the lever for Trumpnin the general?” I admit now, that until recently, my answer has been unequivocally NO. That is no lomger true.

We are living in interesting times.

The bible works the same way. When you read through much of the Old Testiment, it follows exactly the same formula.

Remember Newt calling out the Media during the last election debate? The audience loved it. America is sick of the Elite news medias snarkiness at Republicans and the Don is not going to take it, and that is what People like.

Congress will use what power it has, which is the power it had ceded to the President and he tries to give back by being Constitutionally correct, to oppose and neutralize whatever he tries to do.

Exactly. If we elect a Trump Congress will quickly re-assert the power they have ceded to the current president.

You entire post sums up my thoughts quite well. I have been saying for a few years that only a tyrant could undo what the current tyrant has done and only if Congress does not decide they have a function.

Few remember that Reagan promised to abolish the Department of Education, they let him raise the speed limit instead.

Congress will not successfully reassert its power. Once given away it can’t take it back from a strong Dictator. A weak dictator, trying not to be a dictator will be at the mercy of the DNC or the obamanoids through the Congress.

Feel the same way,had such a burst of pride I haven’t felt in a long time yesterday when those 3 Americans took out that terrorist on the train in France, sent chills up my spine, they are receiving the French Legion of Merit tomorrow, what a Fantastic story! Sure makes you proud to be American, the Greatest country on the Planet regardless of the fact a bunch of REPROBATE politicians, moronic voters have run it into the ground.
The Spirit of America will never die as long as there are common men who stand up and do extraordinary deeds as those 3 men did.
I sure hope that ceremony is televised tomorrow, the American people need a wake up call
