Preppers’ PING!!
Looking for recommendations for a whole home generator, Quiet!, liquid cooled, runs on propane. 200 amp transfer switch also.
Have read some bad reviews about Generac and Kohler.
I’ve gotten a couple people to do some thinking about prepping.
My sister and a friend of mine. We just got to talking about what an economic collapse might entail, and I kind of casually mentioned having enough stuff like toilet paper and some canned goods around would be helpful to get through a few weeks of inconvenience.
After all, I reasoned, a months worth of stuff wouldn’t take up that much space and you can always use it later if you don’t need it right away.
It’d be better than going hungry.
They agreed and were going to look into it.
Nobody is going to be turned into a hard core prepper over night but I figure if you can get them thinking enough to do SOMETHING, they’ll be better off than otherwise.
Dont know if this is the right thread, but Ive been having canning failures.
I have had literally ONE failure using ball metal lids over the last 4 or 5 years.
then I bought tattler ez seal lids- presumably you are able to use the exact same technique as with traditional lids. the first batch I had 1 can not seal, the 2nd batch had 3!
after the first failure, I did tighten the rings on the tattler lids a but more-perhaps causing the 3 failures. Im thinking I shouldve instead have loosened the rings a but, as was needed in the tattler lids before the ez seals were invented.
anyone know?
Please add me to your ping list.
I’m watching these posts from South Africa and have recently searched FR for “prepping” and have read through the threads of about the last 3 years. VERY interesting.
