Thank-you for raising wonderful children. God Bless You! I heard today (on Arizona radio) that the “Good News” is reaching people in Indonesia, no doubt by people such as you have raised to spread the word of Our Lord.
I entered Portugal into the list of countries for us to investigate. It is considered a safe country. I visited as a woman alone years ago, and I loved it. I would rather live live in a conservative enclave in the US. My husband on the other hand, wants to leave for a while. Not a happy time for me...
I’ve restocked on canned soup downstairs, and I’m taking my passport and BC on my roadtrip tomorrow to PA and Ohio, because, should the SHTF between tomorrow and thursday (always possible), I could head for Canada, should it be unwise to return home.
Of course, the Canadians would say “FU, go home!”, but it’s worth a shot.
And no, you’re not paranoid.
Only Americans don’t want to live in America.
“wont help you through Armageddon, but there is plenty that can happen a few knotches down on the SHTF Scale.”
Yes, I agree!
The Elite Have Prepared For The Coming Collapse Have You?
I’m in good shape. Micrwave, washer, dryer and dishwasher all in good working order.
I have never been to Portugal, but I heard it is a neat place. I have been to the Azores many times, and the Portugese there were terrific (they own those islands).
Yes - very proud of my kids. Good looking, kind, hard working, and they love God. I am so blessed by them.
2 Thessalonians 2 says the apostasy comes first and don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking the day of the Lord and the resurrection has happened (continued discussion from 1 Thessalonians).
No mention of Revelation 20 and the First Resurrection?
The first several translations from the Greek into English translated 'apostasia' as 'The Departure', as in leaving through a doorway (see Rev 4:1). The Catholic church decided to play on the word to address the reformation folks by translating it as 'revolt' in the Rheims Bible. Thereafter a few non-Catholic Bibles continued to translate 'apostasia' as departure or the departing. The Protestants then translated it as 'the falling away in the King JAmes. The original seems to be more The Departure' as in the Holy Spirit departing in His current role, taking the Church with Him to meet the Lord in the Air and return to The Father's House.
It’s all relative.
If you were rich enough, you could too.
What I find interesting is when WE warn people of something, we’re paranoid.
When someone rich does something like this, they must know something the rest of us don’t and they’re ready and taken seriously.
I’ve got a 75 acre farm/camp near Punxsutawney, PA I will go to if the SHTF. Lots of deer, rabbit and other game. Also lots of Amish nearby to barter with. I originally got it for a pineapple farm but that global warming thing didn’t work out. Damn you Al Gore!
“It would be interesting if you ever traveled there again and compare.
(We have people of FR who will be visiting soon and I have made them promise to tell us what it was like.”
It certainly would be interesting. If you can remember, and if those people do make a post about what it was like, I’d sure appreciate a ping....
we live on 5 acres as do most people around us and we know only a few of them...
And of course, they DO know more than the rest of us being purposely kept clueless know.
Right now the gringos are politely tolerated because they are a cash cow. Even so, you can already see places like Costa Rica looking for more and more money and becoming more onerous.
I have a place out in the 4 corners region of Colorado. It's on 25 acres. Surrounded by people on hundreds of acres, has a strong well and my closest neighbors are all gun whacko crazies or Mormons. I am thinking more and more to take my chances there.
Curently, too, it's .002% Amish and that might be a high estimate.
If there aren’t any after thirty days then maybe the real problem is that you haven’t been eating your neighbors fast enough.
I have 108 acre farm in northwestern Illinois...we had considered moving to Switzerland or some other area in the world. A friend suggested that moving to where one is not known (for years) is not such a good idea. I thought about it and decided he was right. We need to be around people we have known for some time...distrust will be the rule with strangers I think.
Depends on how close the acreage is to Chicago. When the collapse happens, the survivors in Chitown will be roaming the countryside seeking whom they may devour.
