Well, you can't say we didn't tell you so, or at least try to warn you. But would you listen? NOOOOOOO!!! Much is being said here about Trump's tax proposals..and yes, there is a lot in there that makes sense. But he also said Sunday night that he wanted free, universal, single-payer government run healthcare...and....nary a peep from any of you Trump die-hards.
Did he say that on 60 Minutes?
Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I dont care if it costs me votes or not. Everybodys going to be taken care of much better than theyre taken care of now.
Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of. How? How?
Trump: Theyre going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably
Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?
Trump: the governments gonna pay for it.
"I am going to take care of everybody," and "the government's gonna pay for it." And this is from the GOP front runner. My, how far we have fallen from Reagan's "nine most terrifying words in the English language."
It amazes me how many here STILL jump at the media lies and distortions as fact...
You’re ubiquitous Trump lies are the mirror opposite of convincing.
You are misstating what he said. He said the uninsured needy should be on a single payer system.
He didn’t say everybody. In fact, he says he supports personal purchase of private insurance that can be sold across state lines to increase competition.
So, would you write another big check to these irresponsible uninsured and let them pick their own insurance? If you are writing their check, then how is that not also big government? If you are giving them a bunch of money through income tax ‘insurance income credit’, then that is STILL government giving them the money.
Or you can let them just come to the emergency rooms and not pay and have the government or the other insurance companies or the hospitals increase rates to cover these people. That is STILL us taking care of them.
Short of saying “no insurance, then tough”, we are not going to get away from US paying for THEM.
I wouldn’t say “never”.

I am far from a Trump supporter as I consider Trump in the same league as former Toronto mayor Rob Ford. But, I agree with you. This post is wrong and does not reflect Trump’s position on this issue.
That is weird, I saw the interview and I don’t recall him ever saying he wanted Universal Health Care.
Yes or else we must have watched a different interview. He never said that on the interviewed I watched.
Amen. Where else are fellow conservatives called insane and crazy if they don’t also demonize Trump? It’s like they are following George Will’s lead, with some Lowry and Kraut for good measure.
I watched it. He didn't say that.
That is not what he said.
“I like Trump because he is bringing up issues no one else is.”
That’s what I like too; the debt, the unemployment number farce, the bad trade deals, the bad Iran deal, the border wall, criminal illegal immigrants, national concealed carry, the list goes on and on.
All these Trump haters need to do is watch the tax plan press conference to realize how different in a good way Trump is. That presser alone should make the case for Trump for any thinking person.
Trump is the only candidate that has big enough stones, the vision, the connection with ordinary citizens, and can put together a team to get the job that needs to be done, done. For the first time since Reagan I actually have hope for our country.

“Odd isn’t it, Cruz doesn’t seem to be as mean spirited as his supporters are. “
These are actually former Walker supporters that moved over to Cruz and continued the same stuff they were always doing.
Trump/Carson 2016.
We ain't. You keep repeating yourself.
Cruz is doing ok on collecting cash from small donors.
Lots aren't buying what you are selling, but your posting history over the last few months speaks for itself.
/johnny
Doesn't get much more clear than "I am going to take care of everybody."
That's a mighty nice straw man ya built right there.
Playing devil’s advocate for a moment,
Would you prefer Bush?
I would prefer Cruz but I am not convinced that he can capture the low-info crowd.
