TRUMP says he will close Mosques, but slams Pamela Geller after Jihad attack as her fault???

I haven't done a quick vanity screed in ages, not as a singluar post, but something set me off today.

Donald Trump claims now that he will close some mosques in the United States if they are ISIL related.

"Varney asked Trump if he agreed with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent proposal to close mosques if a worshiper is linked to ISIS. Trump responded unequivocally, “Absolutely, I think it’s great.” Varney, apparently taken aback by Trump’s flippant response to depriving Americans of their constitutional rights, followed up incredulously, “Can you close a mosque?” Adding, “We do have religious freedom.” Trump then gave us this gem: “It depends. If the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear.” “Loaded for bear”?! Is that a term I missed in law school about when it’s OK to violate Americans’ constitutional rights?? from: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/10/22/now-trump-says-i-ll-close-mosques.html

So, where was this loser when Pamela Geller was almost MURDERED when those Jihadists tried to kill her and 150 other people in Texas last Spring??

What was Trump's response then?

"Donald Trump, a billionaire real estate mogul and potential Republican Presidential candidate, appeared on Fox and Friends Monday and ripped into Pamela Geller’s “Draw Muhammad” free speech event in Garland, Texas, which came under fire by two Islamic terrorists.

The purpose of the event – sponsored by Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) – was to defend free speech and remain defiant in the face of Islamic totalitarians.

Nevertheless, Trump blamed Geller for “taunting people,” and asked why she would sponsor an event that encouraged reckless things like drawing cartoons.

“I watched Pam prior, and it looked like she’s just taunting everybody,” Said Trump. “What is she doing drawing Muhammad? And it looks like she’s actually taunting people – and it’s disgusting that it happened and everything else. But why are they doing drawing Muhammad? Isn’t there something else they can draw.”

Trump elaborated further, following the mainstream media’s lead and again blaming Geller– not the shooters– for “taunting” the radical Muslims who sought to mass-murder her and other free speech activists:

I just say, they can’t do something else? They have to be in the middle of Texas doing something on Muhammad and insulting everybody? It’s disgusting what happened, and we have to be very strong, but it looks to me like she’s somebody who is just taunting them.

After ripping into Geller for promoting an event in which Muhammad cartoons were drawn, Trump asserted, “I’m one that believes in free speech, probably more than she does.”

“But what’s the purpose of this? She’s taunting them,” he added. “It’s very risky for her; I don’t know, maybe she likes risk. But what the hell is she doing, and what is the purpose of it?”

LOOK, SLEAZEBAG: You claimed that Pamela Gellers FREE SPEECH WAS INCITING HATRED when all she was doing was pointing out THAT ISLAM HATES and they tried to KILL HER FOR IT!

You made yourself a DHIMMI by trying to SILENCE her She was proved right!!

You tried to silence her to get peace!!

you traded her right to free speech for peace!!

WHY DIDNT YOU DEMAND JUSTICE FOR PAM GELLER INSTEAD??

WHAT KIND OF SPEECH DESERVES MURDER IN RETURN??

I dont care WHAT she or anyone else drew, or said, or make circles in the air about. They tried to MURDER her and 150 other AMERICANS and the first words out of your mouth was about how inciteful she was.

YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED THAT THEY WERE PROVING SHE WAS RIGHT ABOUT HOW MURDEROUS THEY ARE INSTEAD!!!

you are unfit to be President.

The problems with the koran burning and the WTC Mosque

In all this argument of recent days, the most important fact of the matter has been obvious from the start, but is rarely spoken of by the media or the public.

Regarding the Florida koran burning, has anyone stepped back and listened to what people are saying in detail? The first thing a person will hear is how that Pastor has the Constitutional right to do what he is doing.

The next series of statements, however, are always the majority of statements made in these conversations, namely: It is the wrong thing to do, it is inciteful, it is a cult in Florida, muslims will hate us, it will endanger the troops, and, most importantly for this conversation: we are not at war against a religion, but extremists of that religion.

This is important because of the islamic world’s reaction to this Florida Pastor; namely, that the islamic world immediately protested the planned koran burning by condemning the entire country of the United States and marched and chanted promoting our deaths to cries of “DEATH TO AMERICA!”

The response by virtually all American politicians has been an apologetic tone, one where they immediately call for the koran burning to stop, observations that it IS inciteful and that the threats to Americans at home and American Troops abroad are not acceptable and that the safety of the American public are paramount in this case.

Their tone has been to cower in fear at these threats. Not one politician has stepped forward and exclaimed, “Islam is not being attacked by an entire country or an entire religion, Islam is only being attacked by a radical. Islam needs to remember we are not all against Islam and threats to our safety are wrong and inciteful and hate filled.”

Not one. They cower to the islamic world, refuse to hold them to the same standard of behavior as they insist from their own people, refuse to insist that the Pastor in Florida is an anomaly and that the United States is no threat to islam.

What they did was bow in submission to the sensitivities of the islamic world and deny the Florida Pastor his civil rights to speak out like an American.

The islamic world will not notice. They will riot anyways. It is identical to the cartoonists in Denmark. All it took was one cartoonist to make a cartoon of Muhammad and the entire islamic world was in the streets and threatening to kill anyone who makes a cartoon of Muhammad.

Theo Van Gogh made a movie about this islamic submission in Holland, and they killed him for making the movie.

The Florida Koran burning case is quite similar to the Ground Zero mosque case with some significant differences. In Florida, the Pastor must stop his koran burning or there will be violence across the globe, and in fact, even if he does stop, there will be violence across the globe due to him stating he wanted to burn korans. In New York City, the Imam who wants to build a mosque 2 blocks away from Ground Zero, he said on CNN that if we move the mosque or deny it’s construction, there will be violence across the globe.

In both cases, if we do not submit to islamic sensitivities, there will be violence across the globe, in fact, even if we do submit to islamic sensitivities, there will most likely be violence anyways due to the fact that we spoke of those things.

Free speech is threatened in Florida, and a new twist is happening in New York City, something that Israel has seen does not work, and that is LAND FOR PEACE.

The Ground Zero mosque is about LAND FOR PEACE. If we give islam the land to make a mosque, there will be peace. If we do not give islam the land, there will be violence.

Think this through people. In both of these cases, neither has anything to do with the original concerns people expressed. It is solely about whether we submit to islamic sensitivities or have violence.

It is about Islamic blackmail of the United States.

If the mosque is inciting people to violence or to go against the Constitution of the United States, absolutely it should be shut down. The Constitution does not give the right to treason!

Eric Bolling asked Trump if he would uphold the Constitution over Sharia law. His response? It isn't his argument and he doesn't want to get into it.

At the risk of enraging all the Trumpeters on FR, I think Trump is a fraud, a snake-oil salesman running another scam. If he somehow can beat Hillary, he will prove even worse leader then either Hillary would have been or Obama currently is.

Many will wonder what hit them - when the answer is plain - they dissed everyone until they got the guy they deserved, unfortunately for the rest of us who would have been fine with Walker, or Perry - anyone not a Senator or political neophyte.

There is no one more pro-free speech or Islamaphobic than myself. That said, Pamela was intentionally ‘baiting’ the Muslims. Not smart, not nice, and you have to wonder about the motive. I think Trump made a correct evaluation.

I'm very pro-Trump. But I gotta say this. I see Trump's lack of support for Geller as a significant strike against him.

As a side note, back in the 1930's Churchill was almost alone in warning about the dangers of Nazism. Few cared to listen. Geller is in Churchill's role today.

I agree, and by the way, I was standing by the door at that event when it all went down so I would have been murdered too, but I would definitely go again.

"If the mosque is inciting people to violence...absolutely it should be shut down."

Then arrest it's leaders.
Then pull it's tax exempt status.

But this is a steep slippery slope. What if the next Liberal President we have decides that many Christian churches are "hate groups inciting violence" and therefore must be shut down? After all, former President Trump set a precedent allowing it.

Race, you’ve stood in the face of union thug rage, and suffered violent attack because no one had the guts to stand with you and show moral strength.
You are absolutely correct about Trump being untrustworthy.
It should be obvious by now to people who have carefully observed Trump’s duplicitous opportunistic conduct.
He’s been a big long time supporter of notorious Democrats and their liberal issue positions.

He is a masterful “Art of the Deal” salesman who is expert at manipulating parties to think a deal is good.
I’ve taken his course and know a thing or to about how to feign appearance of collaborative negotiation.
He’ll say anything to get a development or sale approved.

Obola and Slick Willy are masterful salesman, too.
How has that worked out for America?

America is in very bad shape.
We cannot suffer further moral weathervane BS artists.

Trump is there to ensure the same Perot effect on this election.
You’ll see...

He doesn’t like Geller because he thinks she provoked it (and he’s correct) and he is against provoking in a way that can lead to violence.

If a Church, Mosque or any so-called ‘place of worship’ is a known sanctuary for terrorists (and they exist in significant numbers), then the cloak of religious freedom is superceded by common sense.

There have been examples in the past of those using religion as a means of staving off law enforcement.

He did not say he would authorize closing without legal authority.

That you would not see this reveals a gross lack of understanding and experience.

Didn’t you get the memo? ;-)

It’s already been decided - all the Republican candidates are terrible, especially the front runners.

We might as well have Hillary in the White House or maybe keep Hussein for a third term..
