I read the email that Erika Christakis sent to Yale students, defending their right to wear Halloween costumes, and, more importantly, their right to think for themselves.
I also watched the video where her husband, Nicholas Christakis, behaved with grace and dignity as a Yale student conducted a profanity laden temper tantrum directed at him.
The Christakises are too good for Yale. I recommend that they become Montessori teachers. They deserve to work at a real school that values intellectual freedom and independent thinking, and which would never tolerate the kind of disrespect from a student toward an adult that was displayed in that video. Well, perhaps a two-year-year old might be forgiven for acting that way, but a twelve-year-old who behaved that way toward an adult at a Montessori school would certainly be expelled.
Yale was probably a great school fifty years ago, but the fact that it now encourages and tolerates the kind of behavior in that video is proof that those days are long gone.
The Christakises would take a huge pay cut by switching to Montessori, but they would be treated with respect, which would more than make up for that.
I’d recommend they not take advice from bloggers.
I know you jump all over blog pimps, and rightfully so ... but OPINIONS, wherever they come from should be welcome here in FR.
Our nation, our culture, our rights have all been taken over by a small minority of tyrants who oddly enough do it in the name of “equality, and fairness, and free speech.”
Whether it is a racial minority or a sexual minority, they are demanding not equality, but superiority. Their way of thinking is the only way, and anyone that disagrees with them is evil and must be destroyed.
Have you ever wondered how a minority (such as white, in South Africa) managed to control the majority. We are seeing it here and now in this nation. The media, our courts, and our leaders are all conspiring against the majority of Americans who for the most part just want to be left alone.
I am old, I may not live long enough to see how this all plays out. But the more people are pushed into a corner, the more likely they will begin to push back, and hard.
I do not think it will end how the left wants it to end.
The poor little delicate dears are going to have a big bad shock when they encounter the world.
Not everyone cares what you feel.
I certainly do not. I have my own problems to contend with in this, the real world.
What a disgusting child, obviously raised by wolves. This is supposed to be a home? No, it’s supposed to be a hall of learning and this wild creature, with no moral compass or sense of propriety, obviously does not belong there. If she wants a home, she should go there.
Why hasn’t that child been sent home from Yale, so that she can do a little more growing up before being TOO FAR AWAY from home? She clearly is suffering anxiety from being a long ways away and does not belong there. Yale, do yourselves a favor and save on bills in student health for anxiety medication. Send some of those CHILDREN home.
She’s spoiled beyond rotten, has always gotten her way and no one in this whole world counts except her.
Imagine what it would be like being married to that little sweetie. Or having her as a co-worker, or worse yet, a boss.
Maybe she would be a great (from a democrat perspective) department head or even director of the EPA.

You are absolutely right. And this post was not click bait...the entire article was posted. There was no reason to criticize. This stuff is getting real old.
Thank you.
Thanks.
If someone is a yaley, they have to walk around Nuevo Haven, CT, a sanctuary city. If they are scared by a costume, and not by the hoodrats in the ghetto’s surrounding the school, they are freakin IDIOTS.
She doesn’t need a home, she needs an asylum.
Kindercare is more like it.
