Everyone hates his proposal but the people. The uni-party, all the other politicians. Nobody else is supporting a common sense "pause" because they are puppets to their donors. It's a pretty remarkable thing. Watch his poll numbers go up.
He's brilliantly boxed everyone in. If you don't support the Muslim invasion, then you can't vote for anyone but Trump. Everyone is against his proposal even Cruz. He's in his own lane because he's not bought and paid for.

I am afraid your reasoning is flawed. I do not support a “Muslim” invasion, but I DO NOT support letting Mr. Trump be president either.
Mr. Trump’s solution is over-the-top and contrary to the constitution. If we allow Muslims to be singled out because of their beliefs, then it is not a long reach to see that future “leaders” could propose doing the same thing to Christians or any group they can rationalize as a threat to lock up.- it is just a matter of who is in power - No, Mr. Trump’s proposal, although understandable, is NOT a viable solution.
Also, you are misrepresenting Senator Cruz’a views. His solution is more doable, and less likely to violate the COTUS. Senator Cruz is an educated conservative man, while Mr. Trump is just a demagogue shamelessly exploiting fear over Muslims they same way the anti-gunners are trying to do in reference to the 2nd Ammendment.

The reporter is Katie Tur from NBC, I think. She’s the reporter who said that BLM protesters make Trump cut short his Raleigh, NC rally, which was a complete lie. Trump finished his usual way and then went into the audience to sign autographs.
BTW, Katie’s father is Zoe Tur, the transgender person that got into a confrontation with Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro, grabbing him by the neck. I can’t remember what they were discussing.

0bama and the Dems have made a major blunder in attempting to twist this away to a gun control issue, and they have painted themselves into a corner from which there will be no escape, especially if there is a single additional terror attack in the United States. Hillary has doubled down on it. It's a loser.
Cruz and the rest need to stop playing the conventional political game of Follow The Numbers, because Trump is not, and he has already accomplished a major strategic end in differentiating himself from the rest of the pack, and far deadlier, of making them look one with the Democrats. If they expect to form a little pond from which a triumphant Trump will fish a VP candidate, that's the way to do it. If they expect to contend, it isn't.
