It’s perfectly reasonable. We’ve been hit by Muslim terrorists multiple times. We know they’re Muslim. IF we let NO Muslims in and they WANT to come in then perhaps the so called moderate Muslims will police themselves.
Islam needs to be reclassified for what it is, a political ideology. One that is inconsistent with American law and values to it’s core. Once reframed then you no longer have a conflict with the first ammendment freedom of religion. Then and only then can you truly erradicate it.

Mr. Trump’s solution is over-the-top and contrary to the constitution. If we allow Muslims to be singled out because of their beliefs, then it is not a long reach to see that future “leaders” could propose doing the same thing to Christians or any group they can rationalize as a threat to lock up.- it is just a matter of who is in power - No, Mr. Trump’s proposal, although understandable, is NOT a viable solution.
Also, you are misrepresenting Senator Cruz’a views. His solution is more doable, and less likely to violate the COTUS.
