Vice President Biden said Wednesday he regrets not running for president in 2016, but stressed it was ultimately the right call.
"I regret it every day but it was the right decision for my family and for me and I plan on staying deeply involved," he said in an interview with Hartford, Conn., NBC affiliate WVIT.
It's one of the first times Biden has publicly conveyed remorse about not jumping into the race to succeed President Obama.
Biden agonized over the decision for months during the late summer and early fall following the death of his son, Beau, from brain cancer.
But after road testing his campaign message and holding dozens of meetings with advisers and family members, he chose not to run, saying it was too late to mount a viable campaign.
In a December interview with Bloomberg, the vice president said it "was the right decision," saying he was still trying to cope with the death of his son, who passed away at 46 years of age.

I just commented that we will see Hillary’s med records at same time that we see Obama’s BC, which is about the same time that Hell freezes
If and when it comes, he will throw himself in with bags already packed.
However, Uncle Joe looks pretty pale and saggy in all his recent photos, especially when he's snapped without his usual make-up artistry jobs.
With Hillary a physical basket case.....and gaunt Bill with one foot in the grave and the other on a pizza slice.....and Biden at 73 and Bernie Sanders at 74....we're looking at big time geriatric cases here, baby!

Joe’s memory going bad or lying again?
The Joe Biden presidential campaign, 2008 began when Biden, then the senior Senator from Delaware, announced his candidacy for President of the United States on the January 7, 2007 edition of Meet the Press. He officially became a candidate on January 31, 2007 after filing papers with the Federal Elections Commission. Biden had previously run for president in 1988, but failed to receive the nomination of the Democratic Party. If elected, Biden would have been the first sitting Senator and Roman Catholic to be president since John F. Kennedy, and the first President to be born during World War II. (b. 1942)

Vice President Joe Biden is expected to reveal in the coming weeks whether he’ll make a third bid for the presidency, closing out the last big, open question about the makeup of the 2016 presidential field and ending what has become the speculative political parlor game of the summer.
As people try to understand what Biden might be thinking, it’s worth taking a look at how he approached his previous bids for presidency in 1988 (when he pulled out of the race amid a plagiarism controversy before voting began) and 2008 (when he dropped out after coming in fifth in the Iowa caucuses).

I believe you’re right. Nothing like being in a position to know what’s going to happen... why spend the time and money when you’ve got a sure thing working?
Maybe this is why they claimed they would indict Hillary in 60 days - time to sprinkle Joe with glitter and have him practice his repertoire of snide laughs...
Not as much as the political cartoonists regret it
Without payback... Day of the Jackal?
