True. New York is at the bottom of percentage of households that are two-parent families. New Yorkers also get married later (though the differences aren't so great as one might think -- age at first marriage falls in a 24-29 range for women, 26-30 for men, if you don't count Utah). Still, people in states like New York or Pennsylvania or Massachusetts do tend to get divorced less than people in states that are supposed to be more conservative.
