Lies, deceit and more sniper fire: the obama administration knew about Flint last April

flint water plant

See if you can tell that I'm angry. Sean Penn is the dolt who fancies himself as a journalist while surrendering all editorial control to his subject, a drug lord and murderer. CBS This Morning has decided to enroll in the Sean Penn School of Journalism. The Hillary whores hosts at CBS This Morning spent an entire segment of the show painting Michigan Governor as the bad guy in the Flint Michigan tainted water scandal. They likened it to a "Katrina moment." The segment then turned entirely into a Hillary Clinton campaign commercial. Everything centered around what Hillary had to say. Clinton was quick to seize upon the issue and make it political. She promptly set fire to the issue when injected race into it, saying that it was a "civil rights issue."

Not content with that, she had another sniper fire moment:

"I issued a statement about what we needed to do and then I went on a TV show and I said it was outrageous that the governor hadn't acted," Clinton said. "And within two hours he had."
As with the sniper fire, it was bullsh*t. Snyder had sought help from FEMA days before. That was in addition to Snyder distributing filters back in September.

That perennial a$$hole Michael Moore weighed in:

Director Michael Moore was at the front lines of a rally he held in his hometown of Flint, Michigan, where he claimed the government neglected the city's complaints of a contaminated water supply until it turned into a crisis.

Moore claimed Gov. Rick Snyder knew that 'toxins, pollutants and, eventually, lead' was leaching into the water after the city switched sources - exposing thousands of vulnerable children.

About 200 residents joined the protest, some chanting 'Syder's got to go, hey hey, ho ho, water is a human right' and holding up signs with phrases like 'Callous Rick made Flint sick'.

'This is not a mistake,' Moore said about the controversy that has devastated the financially-strapped city. 'Ten people here have been killed because of a political decision.'

'They did this. They knew.'

Then comes the rest of the bullsh*t:

"I think the governor's incredibly thinned skinned on this issue," Democratic consultant Joe DiSano said Monday. "Tragedies like this happen when you run government like a business, and this is wholly owned by the Michigan Republican Party and Gov. Snyder."
Absolutely false. This, just as in New Orleans, is a democrat owned issue and the left is furiously trying to turn it around. That reversal is facilitated in no small part by the vapid, shallow Pennesque reporting by CBS News.

Here's how it all went down.

Flint Michigan has been run by democrats for a long time. They ran it so far into the ground that an emergency manager was appointed to run the city in September of 2013- democrat Darnell Early. To save money for the city, the (democrat) Flint City council voted in March of 2013 to stop buying water from Detroit and join the Karegnondi Water Authority. Problem was, the KWA would not be ready for three years and another source of water was needed. It's unclear how it happened, but the Flint river became the source of the town's water. One thing is clear- it was all democrats. Here they are celebrating the switch to the Flint river as the source of the city's water:

On April 25, 2014 democrat Mayor Dayne Walling ceremoniously closes the valve shutting off Detroit water:

I grew up on the west side of Flint, it was a great cityin the 50’s and 60’s. It is mostly democrat, and this crisis is mostly caused by democrats. Sucks to be them.

Aren’t the Dems in charge of Flint?

The mayor thinks lead in the water is ‘racial injustice’? Didn’t this happen under her watch?

Weaver {Flint Mayor} also praised Clinton for highlighting the crisis as an example of racial injustice. “If the kids in a rich suburb of Detroit had been drinking contaminated water and being bathed in it, there would have been action,” Clinton said during Sunday night’s debate.

“The Secretary was exactly right,” Weaver said Tuesday. “We are a predominantly African American community. We also have 40 percent unemployment, so it’s a class issue too. If this were a more affluent community, I think the response would have been different.”

Thank you. I like our tough nerd.

Flint city council, btw, includes two felons and two former bankrupty folk.
One was in prison for about 15 years for murder and is now on the city council.

I stopped in Flint once last year, and that will be all of my visit there. It was a gas station.

I keep tweeting him with things like “get a treadmill” and “stop eating for ten”. He deletes them rapidly.

He is a complete loser. Says that people who died from Legionaires disease in the general area got it from the Flint river.
I checked with the local health dept and they had 87 cases, only half of which had been exposed to Flint river water.
Not likely.
Of course when I tweet that to Fatboy he deletes it too.

Shades of Love Canal, where the Government, over the objections and lawsuit by Hooker Chemical against opening the sealed chemical vault, did so anyway.

The Government cut through the tightly sealed vault constructed by Hooker Chemical.

They then released the contents to the storm sewer system of the town of Love Canal, thereby distributing the contents throughout Love Canal.

Government is far too important than to be left in the hands of politicians.

This has been interesting to watch since I live about 70 miles away. I started to write a long explanation but decided to shorten it to this; This is a long term infrastructure problem. This will cost 10’s of millions to fix. The lead in the water is likely in the pipes and the switch had nothing to do with it. My local tv WNEM 5 did a good cover on it last night. To blame the GOP and the Gov is pure politics. This is a dem problem through and through. I estimate about 1/2 million per mile of water line to replace. I could be high but since surface infrastructure likely has to be replaced (roads/sidewalks) I am pretty sure I am close. Flint, like Detroit, has been democrat controlled for decades. I would not be surprised if the lead in the water has been known for decades and the cat is now out of the bag.

Though predominantly a Democrat problem, there’s plenty of blame for the mismanagement to go around. Flint has been a disaster for decades. Still, the voters are primarily responsible for where they find themselves.

Is this really the result of lead buildup from past lack of use?

Could it be flushed out to get an acceptably lower level?

the obama administration knew about Flint last April...being likened to Katrina - but Katrina was blamed on the feds and Bush in particular - so why is the governor of Michigan - a Republican - taking all the heat for this disaster - it's about time Obama and his crew get skewered too.....
