Agree on halftime: Coldplay is an awesome group. They have some of the most interesting and innovative songs int he last 15 years, but an arena-—particularly the high-energy Super Bowl-—was the wrong setting for them. Anyplace is the wrong setting for Beyonce. Bruno Mars . . . sorry, I think I was eating a Dorito.

The Doritos commercial generated an incredible amount of venom from NARAL and PP. So de facto it was great.

I loved the Jeep commercial. Very Trump-ish, Make America Great Again. Agree on the rest.

I was really disappointed in the commercials, too, which is usually the only reason I watch. We only got a few split-second clips of the Clydesdales, and the Budweiser ads are usually the best.

I did not see one - not one - commercial worthy of mention. What has happened to America's creative class? Are all the copywriters members of the disaffected Millennial generation? Most of the spots were supposed to be funny butt fell short, some by an inch others by a mile IMO. Perhaps the 7 years of Obama has sucked every last speck of joy out of life

Mrs. dweller and I both remarked how meh the ads were. It seemed like a lot of ninth grade pranksterism inspired stuff. We figured the halftime 'extravaganza' would just be trash so we switched to Star Trek TNG reruns.

The half-time entertainment was an ear-splitting orgiastic freak show, 'nuff said.

Lady Gag Gag started out by flattening her notes, then finally ending on key when she hit the high notes straight on, much to everyone's relief. She gets a "B" for bravado.

The National Anthem is pussified and wussified down now from the manly war song it used to be....but then, I'm from the old, out-of-touch, not-hep, ossified codger generation that still values music over blaring noise in entertainment....including patriotic songs that reflect the musical theme's history and intent, not the singer's vocal tricks and narcissism.

It is very hard to be "creative" in the stifling PC atmosphere of today's culture.

Some retired NFL player is in deep doodoo because he used the word "boy" when referring to Cam Newton. I read his tweet and I knew he was referring to his immature behavior at the press conference. However, the "culture" decided he was using it as a racial insult. So, I guess the word "boy" is now off-limits even when speaking of a grown man throwing a temper tantrum. The retired player explained that he was using it to refer to his immature behavior, but, one can't let a chance for racial greivance to go unmet.
