CNN currently has Trump at 10 delegates with 5 not assigned yet. Trump needs 12 delegates to have the majority and be able to count the state as 1 of the 8 needed for nomination.

Assuming Rubio stays above the 10% threshold and picks up 2 delegates that leaves 3 left. Anybody know why those 3 aren't assigned yet and whether Trump can pick up 2 of them?

Delegate counts this early are notoriously inaccurate. Journalists are lazy when they aren’t dishonest.

The GOP national rules name the two national committee members and the chair of each state as unpledged delegates. However, state parties are allowed to bind them. Each state has different rules, and some may be in conflict with RNC rules.

There are always disputes that get settled at the convention. Most are minor but some make headlines.
