Do Not Support Trump For President
NOLAN CHART ^ | 15 February 2016 | Colonel Steven B. Vitali

Posted on 02/16/2016 6:29:36 AM PST by Col Vit

To all patriots who support Trump and who watched the Republican Presidential debate the other night in Greenville, South Carolina. I speak to you as a conservative who is as frustrated with Obama and the Republican elite establishment as you are.

That said, I am having great difficulty understanding the rational for the continued Trump support after the debate.

Do you really think that a Republican was the reason for 9/11?

Do you really believe Trump when he said Bush lied on purpose about Iraq?

Do you really believe Trump that Bush lost the Iraqi war instead of the truth which is that Bush won the Iraqi war and then Obama walked away from an Iraqi victory and it is Obama’s failures that brought about ISIS?

Trump has made charges that even the hardest of all Democrats are unwilling to make. We don’t advance and win the White House by agreeing with the Democrats in their wild conspiracy theories.

What about Trump’s stance on foreign policy? We see the impacts to our national security from Obama leading from behind. Trump’s vision is similar to Obama’s. He wants to make other nations fight our interest and wants to allow Russia to continue in its fight against the interest of the United States. Trump cannot even recognize the obvious that Russia is not attacking ISIS. Is Trump that naive like Obama? Great, the same Americans that flocked to support Obama now race to Trump with the same results being achieved.

I was giving Trump the benefit of the doubt until the other night when he quickly shed any pretense that he was anything but another liberal clone. For any conservative who supports Trump, wake up. Trump is not a conservative and no Republican should be snickered to think otherwise.

We are mutually tired and sick at our Republican Party establishment that has failed to stand up against the Obama juggernaut. Obama was elected by mainstream media that built him up to a God celebrity status. Trump is another renowned celebrity king and once again the entertainment mind-set is predominate and runs amok in our pick for our next President.

Wow, after the Obama disaster, why follow and place your dreams on a man of little statue, integrity, honor, or character to our highest office. I just don’t get it. I agree with some of the arguments of Trump, but I don’t trust his character or his integrity to follow through on his promises. Already he has backtracked. He speaks in platitudes when he is not heaving personal attacks against a fellow Republican. He has little capacity of the historical facts to take great advantage of Hillary or Bernie during a debate.

Trump incessantly speaks about his negotiation skills. Yes, we are mad as heck about our Republican leader’s failure to fight Obama, Reid, and Pelosi, but if you listen to Trump, his great asset he states is his negotiating skills with Democrats. Really? He said he would not use the Executive Privilege to force his opinions and he has repeatedly attacked conservative Republicans like Cruz for fighting against Obama. So then what can we really expect from a Trump negotiation with a potential Democrat controlled Senate after 2016? Do you really think Trump will fight for conservative principles? Keep dreaming?

Heck, think about the reality of the Supreme Court under a Trump Administration. He recently stated that former liberal Republican Senator Brown would be a good Supreme Court candidate. That said, in your heart, how do you reconcile the notion that Trump will appoint a conservative legal scholar on the Supreme Court? Please, stop being delusional and don’t place dreams upon Trump that he will not meet for a second. Go ahead and nominate more moderate to liberal Supreme Court Justices and you can kiss away your prosperity, gun rights, religious freedoms, freedom of speech, and equal justice under the law. Oh yes, you must like the abuses of the EPA, IRS, overzealous governmental regulations, etc. Keep with Trump and you are guaranteed to live your future in Obama’s transnational system.

It is time to smell the roses my friends instead of being led to the privy. Our nation cannot stand or afford another failure of a President. We cannot elect a Marxist like Bernie, a criminal like Hillary, nor another narcissist like Trump who bellows and attacks across the wide spectrum but under that false facade, there is an empty suit.

Please, let’s not bet our nation’s future on a liberal who turned conservative and then sways with the wind when it suits his interest.

The time for reflection is upon us. Do not be swayed by me, the media, or Trump’s lofty words. Think historically of what the Presidency stood for and the caliber of the man elected to that esteemed office. Obama subverted our constitution and failed the leadership test. I beseech you, do not allow yourself, my fellow Americans, to chase in vein the same pipe dream and failed entertainer leadership.

Obama and all our establishment elites on both sides of the isle destroyed our view and respect of government. Let’s not now resort to the same type of flaw character choice for President. Please do not let your short memory abate your duty to this country to elect a President who will secure and protect our liberty, our rule of law, our prosperity, and our national interest.

Trump can lie, change his positions, claim he could shoot some, or anything else; and you people don’t care and make excuses for him no matter what he does.

We should hold the GOP to the same standard. The GOP controlled Congress has given Obama everything he wanted and more. The latest Omnibus bill was the last straw. The GOP has controlled the House since 2011 and failed to use the power of the purse to stop Obama's agenda. We don't have an opposition party.

So what is your excuse for the do-nothing GOP Congress that has lied repeatedly to get elected or re-elected? Why should we support a GOP no matter what it does? It is time to tear down the temple and do something different. Trump is the vehicle for that change.

Yeah, but let's look at the matter via the lens of the typical Trumpster hereabouts, viz:

Two wrongs always make a right. Obama has been the worst prez in U.S. history. Trump can't possibly be worse. Therefore, anything Trump has done or said or would do is OK.

Airtight logic, doncha think?

Do you really believe Trump when he said Bush lied on purpose about Iraq?

Do you believe Colin Powell when he said even HE was mislead about WMD in Iraq?

I am sad that Trump is no longer a viable option for me. He acted deranged in the last debate. His empty promises remind me of Napoleon in Animal Farm. If he gets the nomination, Dems could destroy him with Mafia tie and womanizing allegations, and we end up with Hillary. There are better choices.

Trump is going in for the kill shot. He is not desperate. He will win easily here in SC, just like he did in NH. The anger at the political class is palpable here in SC. Cruz and Bush and Rubio are part of the political class.

Fair enough, but I can tell you unequivocally that Saddam’s legacy lives on in the United States. There are encyclopedic volumes of information that are entirely unknown to the American public and are likely to remain unknown for quite some time.

While I agreed with the decision to remove Saddam, his evil offspring and the tools (i.e., the Mukhabarat) he used to destroy opposition and enforce compliance - and still do , I completely disagreed with the decision to use conventional forces and occupy the country. There was extensive and very heated debate in the National Security Council on how to remove Saddam and suppress the extensive terrorist activity in Iraq. Unfortunately, those in favor of the conventional option won out; I’ll have to leave it at that.

One reference that I would point you to involves a guy by the name of George Korkor Artin Tajirian, an Iraqi of Armenian descent: http://www.nytimes.com/2001/10/26/us/iraqi-accused-of-smuggling-hundreds-in-mideast-to-us.html

Suffice it to say that this and the other articles related to Tajirian only begin to scratch the surface, but keep in mind that adherents to fundamental Islam switch alliances often.

I am NOT and I repeat NOT a Trump supporter. I support Cruz. If you look through my posting history you will see that I am not a big fan.......That being said....

The reason that the 9/11 hijackers were able to do what they did is because of the lax immigration/VISA programs that are supported by BOTH Republican and Democrat parties.

These guys came in on student VISAs and then disappeared. They melted into the population and nobody did shit about it. Nobody cared or even noticed.

George Bush didn't keep us safe. Jeb and Marco and Ben and John all support the same system. They bring in everyone that wants to come and then do nothing to verify they are doing what they said they were coming here for. If that system was not in place prior to 2001, the towers would still be standing.

... it’s time for a change. Vote Trump.

How well did that hope and changey thing work for you last time? You want a change vote for a conservative Constitutionalist not another RINO liberal.

You should reead this article, it is worth your time.

“Trump is going in for the kill shot.”

Yes, exactly true. And what will he have won if he has convinced 50% of the party that he is a vicious nutjob? It is much like running up a football score to 100 to 3 and then breaking te opposing quarterback’s leg for good measure.

But go for it. Trump can do no wrong.

>> It’s a cult of personality, and they are true believers. . . . They are going by what the wanted him to have said, not what was said <<

You nailed it. Call him a Pied Piper, call him a leader of lemmings, call him a false prophet and populist demagogue, call him Mussolini-lite, it’s the same story again and again and again.

The 25 to 35% of likely ‘Pub voters who are mesmerized by the guy seem never to waver.

Yea, verily, they shall cut their noses to spite their faces.

They will follow their Dear Leader over yon precipice and into the gates of Hell.

They would hand the USA over to a Hillary or a Bernie or a Liz, just to prove how righteous is their anger.

May God have mercy on our beloved nation.

Cruz was set up by CNN, both Rubio and Cruz camps fell for it then CNN pushed the narrative non stop. But hindsight shows Carson having lost his campaign staff and gone home to never campaign again, he actually did quit.

The entire story was media manipulation from start to finish. As is Trumps campaign in my opinion. I wonder at this point in Trumps campaign, is he controlling the media, or is he a product of it?

You are describing why Trump is the only one who can win the General Election against Hillary or whoever winds up with the nomination. Trump fights like a Dem who will use everything and anything to win. A perfect example is the way Cruz and Trump would approach Hillary's attacks against the GOP on the War on Women. Cruz fights like Romney and McCain, above the fray and no personal attacks. Trump fights like Harry Reid.

"Ted Cruz says he won’t use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former first lady Hillary Clinton.

"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clinton's biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."

New York businessman Donald Trump, the front-runner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.

"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women's card on me, she's wrong!" Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.

Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.

Hello All.
Just finished watching Sat. nights debate. I didnt see what all the fuss everyone was talking about concerning a Trump meltdown. First off I fast forward thru Rubio, Cruz, moderators and the Idiot Kasich. Two hour debate now 30 min. I have always liked Carson so there.
It was like watching Batman (Adam West version) vs The Riddler, Joker and The Penguin. Splatt! Kapow! Sock! Trump defended himself from Bush, and Cruz like a street fighter disregarding the Queen of Marquessberry rules. Loved every minute of it. The meltdown is plain to see here on FR by those on the contiuing losing side. Suck It Jeb! Bring back Walker!! Lol.

Go Trump

Trump with his RINO ideas IS the establishment, just a rude version of them. The establishment RINOs all got into power by saying conservative things and doing liberal ones. How is trump any different?

You want different, vote Constitutionalist. For the first time in decades there is one. Cruz.

believe everything he says today

Didn't say that at all. That's just your delusion. The fact is, Trump is shredding the GOP. Every real patriot knows this is job 1. We can rebuild with a true Conservative, such as Cruz, down the road. Trump really is the last hope to right this ship. Cruz, and the rest of the candidates, are beholden to their special interests, and always will be. Those of us supporting Trump are looking to him as being the only one that will not be. If Trump fails to live up to his promises, then quite frankly, the ballot box will have failed us all and there will not quite be a last best hope. We will have no choice but to turn to other means to right the ship, or crouch down and lick the hand that feeds us.

For many years I have heard, over and over again, this is the most important election of our time. Well, as it happens, this IS the most important election of our lifetime. We right the ship now, or say goodbye to the Republic. The only candidate that will work to right the ship, without regard to the special interests that will hold every other candidate back, is Trump.

Trump is a successful business man. That’s a different type of narcissist.

Trump is like Reagan in this manner. He will rely on competent advisers. And yes there are times when he will deviate for his own policy expectations, but there will be plenty of times were he coordinates with them for coherent policies.

The Presidency is beyond one man, and the man I trust to pick the best advisers and policy makers and work with them is Donald Trump.

Vote Trump
