Breaking Rubio allies drop lawsuit keeping Kasich from Pennsylvania presidential primary ballot
The Conservative Treehouse ^

Posted on 03/16/2016 2:13:12 PM PDT by Sybeck1

Despite the John Kasich campaign admitting they did not provide enough signatures to give Kasich legal access to the Pennsylvania primary ballot, the state law only keeps the candidate off the ballot if it is legally challenged.

Previously, team Rubio in Pennsylvania filed such a challenge and Kasich was legally kept off ballot. Today the Rubio allies withdrew their petition (legal challenge).

As a consequence Ohio Governor John Kasich will be allowed on the PA ballot despite not having met the signature threshold for placement.

Nobody wants to bet on a dead horse.

Let me be the first to predict that Kasich's vote totals in our April 26 primary will be so small as to make it look like Tom Corbett won a landslide re-election victory in 2014.

This state is winner take most.

Trump will likely get nearly all the 71 delegates here.

latest poll:

Trump 36
Cruz 17
Kasich 10

delegates will be allocated by the winner of each district, and Trump as always will probably sweep most of the districts and thus get nearly all the delegates.

WATCH OUT FOR KASICH. He’s already campaigning in PA. He’s a very effective campaigner. Part of the problem in OH was no one took Kasich’s strategy seriously.

Someone needs to contact Trump or Cruz so they can challenge.

You left off Rubio’s 19 points from a week old poll. Those voters will go somewhere and probably not to Trump.

It’s past the deadline to do that now. Rubio was doing the GOPe a favor by having this dropped...he would have prevailed and Kasich would not have been on the PA ticket IMHO>

Rubio supporters are far more likely to go to Kasich than Cruz.

And Cruz isn’t likely to win anywhere else besides maybe Mormon heavy Utah because of Romney’s help.

Why does someone have to challenge it? If he doesn’t have enough signatures, he doesn’t have enough signatures.

Rubio voters will likely divide up with all three of the remaining candidates.

Kasich can win every delegate form here on out and still not win the nomination. No one has attacked him yet, not even a little bit. If he took the hits that Trump has taken he’d already be done. If he gets to the general they’ll make quick work of him and if he wins the country will not heal
