Some cites in Germany are beginning to use this method as well, just to ease the crowding. The trick is to be sure you don’t end up giving the same person multiple tickets as they use different names or locations.

I foresee "homeless" people living on Greyhounds and bouncing around touring the country. Of course, it will be tougher on some of them:

We did it in Des Moines back in the nineties. Sent them to Florida. Since we were at the intersection of I-35 and I-80, so we got a lot more homeless than most cities that size.

San Francisco. 1984 Democrat Convention. Some columnist suggested busing the homeless to the wine country and put them in a warehouse. That way they could drink the high-end stuff. Nothings too good for the Gentleman of the Grape.

city of Portland acting so much like 1%er elites. The homeless should just declare it a Sanctuary City and keep the squatters paradise alive in the lieberal run paradise.

So they take the free ticket and go see their cousin in Othertown for a while, then they come back after their cousin kicks them out.

Holy Moly! It’s people like her that give the Homeless a bad rap! I suspect she has some serious hoarding issues also.
Some folks with this tendency become worse under the stress of being homeless, so one problem literally feeds the other.
She already feels as though she has lost almost everything, so now she is determined to keep all things, no matter what! It’s a very difficult behavioral cycle to break. A reaction to fatalism and pessimism.

The city will only provide a ticket to people if staff can verify that family or friends will be waiting at the other end of the bus ride to provide shelter and support.
