Cruz had the lowest support in Texas for a sitting Senator or incumbent.

A New Yorker named Trump continues to be VERY popular in Texas, much more popular than Cruz by many.

Cruz lost much more then anyone before him who was associated with Texas.

Trump will get 95 delegates in NY, 51 in NJ, 38 in MD, 20 in CT, 18 in RI. 20 in West Virginia. 17 in Pennsyvania. 30 in mountain states and 130 between California, Oregon and Washington. That makes 1300. Left off Indiana as it will be a bonus. Cruz is playing a Hail Mary working on second place ignoring states that are voting the next month. Risk is more with Cruz then trump. I am proud trump’s winning by getting voters approval unlike Cruz whose getting sloppy seconds.

>Yeah, and Cruz only has a 2-year headstart...

Why did a first term senator who was only in congress for 2 years start running for president?

Yet another example of Cruz winning a party event, while Trump continues to win POLLS.

Exit POLL in Wisconsin showed 73% said that they thought Trump was too SCARY to be elected President.

I do not like polls but you do. Cruz is picking up DELEGATES and that is what matters right now.

Winning votes at the POLLS is for the General election which Cruz will do because Republicans will turn out at the POLLS to vote this year like never before.

Trump is not lazy, that’s for sure. And he certainly takes the process seriously.

What he did not see though is just how dishonest some people are. What you call a ‘ground game’ is an organized cheating where for example Trump delegates are misinformed of a time and date for their election or where their names have been delisted with no explanation given. There is nothing ‘legit’ about these cheating actions when they are clearly witnessed to keep out Trump supporting delegates. It is simply dishonest, it is cheating.

What you fail to understand is that there is time to reverse the cheating by Trump having his lawyers file a decertification via the RNC. His lawyers are doing that now. They will kick out the delegates that Cruz has dishonestly inserted. The process they will use will be honest and that’s the way it should be.

Honest people don’t want your kind around. In time, your kind will be kicked out and the Party will be cleaned. It will no longer be the Party of Cheaters. Cleaning the Party so that it is honest will lead to trust with voters and that trust will lead to victory in November.

If you need to find a job where you can carry on your cheating which you refer to as a game, I suggest you consider employment with the democrat party.

I get a kick out of a cruz support pointing to this statistic. They fail to recognize that their own candidate is doing worse in this category.

Maybe they don’t want him, but they’re supporting him. Big time.

That "big time" support will evaporate just as soon as Trump is taken care of, and they realize that Ryan is really the one they want.

Is it really necessary to call a fellow FReeper and conservative an idiot? Why would you do that? I am a good, decent, conservative, family man, that prefers Cruz over Trump.

Matt, "proust" is not so much a Trump supporter as he is a Hillary plant. You are right. Real conservatives don't call fellow well-meaning conservative brethren "idiots." Just ignore him.

Keep that in mind when posting to the ugliest of supposed "Trump supporters." This board has been infiltrated by a lot of phony scum this election season.

FReegards!

I think the Cruz supporters are counting on the Trump supporters to back him in the general if Cruz is the nominee. I have heard some people say they would back him rather than Hillary. However Trump supporters consist of blue dogs, etc. Can they be counted on to come over for Cruz? I kinda doubt it. Cruz himself just doesn’t have the charisma nor the energy to capture the younger people, etc. that’s my concern. He comes across as a geeky preacher. Yes, I agree with his message (a lot of it borrowed from Trump) but his delivery ...eh.

Four years ago Ron Paul supporters took over everything. All delegates, all GOP positions, everything. Problem was they did not know how to run things and didn't get along with a lot of people.

It appears this year the Cruz team is trying to work with some of the party people, rather than run them over. I know some will scream GOPe etc, but there are many hard working, loyal, Republicans that don't have Cruz or Trump as their first choice, that will work hard for the nominee, regardless of who it is.

On May 21, the State Convention take place, it will be interesting to see what the Cruz strategy will be for those 18 delegates. My guess is they will have a 13 or 14 person slate to allow elected officials to go.

We don't live under a democracy (Thank goodness). However the Presidential EC needs to be modified/dissected into specific counties. Also the Senate elections should go back to the process of selection based on State Legislators and not "mob rule".

We do unfortunately live under a system of 2 major political parties that have their own rules. At times the process seems rather perverted, but that is the fundamental nature of a political party, civic perversion.

So Iowa David is working hard to destroy whats left of the natural born clause. Duly noted.

I hope you and those like you are proud of yourselves. You are helping destroy one of the greatest protections the founders laid out for us.

So the major trump supporters 2nd choice for president is Hillary Clinton, who you have just dedicated yourself to with your pledge to sit this one out if trump can’t get his ground game in order.

Trump is winning voters.

<><><><

Yes he is. To date, a hair over one third (37%) of the votes have been cast for Trump.

Cruz is at 28%.

Neither of these guys is inspiring tremendous support.
