Florida delegates are bound to the state winner for the first second and third ballots. Then they are unbound.

Somebody, get this to Drudge!

Per mollypitcher1,
Florida is winner take all
Trump got all but one county (rubio’s),

and the delegates are bound to ... Trump.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I’m almost finished with the GOP and I will be finished unless Mr. Trump wins the nomination.

If he’s cheated out of it, I’m done.

I understand Onyx...but he hasn’t won them if he doesn’t reach the required delegate count...so far he hasn’t. But if he does so before convention then he’s the nominee and there will be no convention.

The process is a three level process as has often been explained on the threads. The difference between Cruz and Trump is Cruz was prepared and working all along should this might go to convention....Trump never had a ground game and certainly chose not to include these delegates which are significant should the first phase of the process not give us a winner....he underestimated Cruz’s ability to compete for the long haul.

The man now at the helm of Trumps campaign is well known as the “fixer” in International Politics as well as Nationally here. Called in when candidates are in trouble of loosing in high stakes elections. ( No doubt Trumps paying him a 7 figure fee.) But he’s been out of the circuit since Ukraine’s elections where he was brought on to assist in keeping Viktor Yanukovych in power.

At any rate...once this moves to convention then you’re dealing with bound and unbound delegates. Cruz’s game and Trumps is a twofold thing....Trump needs them to win the ‘first’ round of voting...if Trump doesn’t win then the ‘second’ round is critical ....(both Cruz and Trump must keep a GOP candidate from slipping in).

If he’s cheated out of it, I’m done.

If he is cheated, do not judge me by the Cleveland Convention. Yeah, I will be with a bunch of Teamsters. I am a nice guy. There is no other road forward.

P.S. The Teamsters thing was by accident. I just happen to hunt with a bunch of UPS drivers. It took off. There is very deep anger in this country.

To the "True Believers" who support Cruz, don't complain if your Amazon box is crushed.

Cruz had me fooled for a long time, until he started lying about Trump statements that I had heard WITH MY OWN EARS.

Now it’s clear that Cruz is a totalitarian scumbag, just like the Bush Crime Family he has served for decades.

The statement “Trump is a socialist” is a bald-faced lie.

It is that kind of bald-faced lie by which Cruz exposed himself to me as a bald-faced lying scumbag.

Sorry - I wasn’t clear. I meant what about the delegates for Rubio in a state that he had won (say Minnesota?). I guess then they would vote for whoever got the most votes of the candidates still in the race?

Although at a contested convention, the nominee doesn’t HAVE to be a person still in the running. Or that had even run at all this year. Like Romney. Although I really don’t see that happening.

And see #80 by ymani cricket

Try to understand what a coup is, then accept that you are witnessing one right in front of you.

Other nations have witnessed them. They haven’t been familiar in the United States but they are as of now. You are seeing it now.

It’s not Cruz. He’s just a stooge for Romney. Romney was left as the head of the GOP after 2012. He has the command of his mafia (yes, a real mafia).

Importantly, Romney commands access to the GOP/RNC databases of district and precinct captains. The RNC and other organs of fundraising are alway sending out surveys to see who on the mailing list is pro-Trump, who is pro-Kasich, etc. The surveys reveal who is anti-Trump and they are then added to #NeverTrump.

As a result, Romney’s people ‘drill down’ meaning they come to know who they can dispatch as delegates, or who to hatch a fraud or delay, a bait and switch, a theft, etc. They send out these GOP operatives to steal from Trump, deny him influence.

Why is Romney the head of the GOP? Because he brings the money. He who has the gold, rules. This is known as the Golden Rule among thieves.

Romney is one of the most dishonest people alive today.

How does Romney bring the money? It is brought to him by outside interests, When say Mexico wants to donate to stop Trump, they will seek out Bush but may be directed to Romney because Romney was the last nominee and is the de facto head of the party.

So it’s not Cruz, it’s Romney. Cruz’ so-called ground game is not owned by Cruz, it is created and set into motion by Romney who has the survey research and the contact lists from the database.

Cruz never had a ground game until Romney stepped in.

Romney is committing a coup. That’s what you are seeing.

Yes. So let’s say Rubio won a state and he got 30 delegates, and Trump came in 2nd and got 20 delegates, and Cruz came in 3rd and got 10 delegates.

First vote, they vote as above.

Second vote, could be either:

a) All of Rubio’s delegates vote for Trump, so Trump now has 50 votes (30 from Rubio and his original 20) and Cruz still has 10 votes. Or...

b) Rubio’s 30 delegates could be divided proportionally to those still in the race (who earned delegates in that state). In that case, Trump would get 20 of Rubio’s delegates and Cruz would get 10. So the second vote would be 40 for Trump (20 original + 20 Rubio’s), and 20 for Cruz (10 original +10 Rubio’s)

I’m just thinking out loud here.

> “The majority of delegates are elected by people that show up to their respective state party conventions or caucuses ...”

Trump people show up but are often misinformed or lied to about meetings and vote times, and which of their delegates are on the ballot only to find out later their delegates have been delisted.

This is where the stealing is taking place. The persons who are in the know about schedules and meetings are all Romney people that have been screened to be anti-Trump and who are added to #Nevertrump and are given marching orders as well as well-paid compensation.

Romney is conducting a coup here.

Delegates to the ‘national’ conventions are selected at the ‘state’ level by each political party’s ‘state committee’. which can be different from state to state..and even yearly.... also methods of convention delegate allocation differs from state-to-state and CAN BE CHANGED BY PARTY LEADERSHIP.... and be perfectly legal to do so.

Caucuses also come into play and open to all registered voters of the party at which delegates to the party’s national convention are selected....... the ‘voters’ in attendance divide themselves into groups according to the candidate they support..... The undecided voters congregate into their own group and prepare to be “courted” by supporters of other candidates... And thus it goes.... At the end of the caucus, party organizers count the voters in each candidate’s group and calculate how many delegates to the county convention each candidate has won.

Delegates can state support for a candidate or declare themselves to be uncommitted....again depending on the state because in some states, delegates are bound, or “pledged” to vote for the primary ‘winner’ in voting at the national convention.... In other states ‘some or all’ delegates are “unpledged,” and free to vote for any candidate they wish at the convention.
