I wonder what the quality of medical services are like in the depressed ‘jobs went south’ areas.

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants offer competent care in more locations and at a lower cost than physicians, but these professionals are limited by protectionist restrictions known as “scope of practice” rules.

I would predict that the businsess of medical malpractice attorneys will show double-digit growth should reforms like this go through.

No no and no. The NPs and PAs (advanced practice nurses) that I know do NOT want the scope of practice enlarged or changed. It is their worst nightmare

This is all about ObamaCare trying to cut out doctors and give nurses the ability to prescribe drugs.
