The Truth about Ted Cruz, and Why He Can Unite Americans and Beat Hillary
Off Grid Blog ^ | April 17, 2016 | Charles S. Meek

Here are two videos. The first one is the Ted Cruz story. It is a real story, is short (11 minutes), is powerful, and for many people is emotional--which one might expect from a scripted ad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hrms1ACMn0&feature=youtu.be&t=294

This second video is an interview of Cruz on CNBC. It is unscripted and less emotional, but is full of facts and information. It is long--46 minutes. But it is important to watch because it displays Cruz's knowledge about the economy, and demonstrates how different Cruz's grasp of history and the economy is from his opponents. This is critically important. Watch it and think about how Trump or Hillary would answer these questions.

No other candidate has a grasp on the economy, growth, and taxes as Cruz has.

I was, at first, enamored by Donald Trump--rich businessman, tough guy, strong leader. But the more we hear from the lips of this guy is more like we would here in the eighth grade boys' locker room. He has no over-arching philosophy and shoots from the hip in his personal life and business life. His own business history is full of gigantic failures. Fortunately for him, he had enough huge wins taken with massive leverage that overcame the failures. We, as a nation, cannot afford the risk of his shoot-from-hip style of management at the top of the federal government.

Problem is that Cruz will not consider having a WALL built and that is one of the issues I take issue with him on.

Yes, a Hillary Clinton presidency will be so much better for the nation, than a Trump presidency, right?

That is exactly what we would get with Cruz as the GOP nominee — which will never happen anyway.

He’d have to win the nomination first and that’s not happening.

Cruz is a PROVEN-liar (ObamaTRADE)
and a PROVEN-cheater (hiding behind Fiorino was disgusting)
and a PROVE VOTE THIEF.

Cruz will unite America for the Democratic or Green Party
candidate.

Cruz is disliked by his colleagues in the Senate — he can’t even get them to support him, so how could he get enough support from the people to defeat Hillary?

I am a strong Cruz supporters but I’m not naive enough to think that he could unite America any more than Trump could unite America.

No way! The news media and liberals will pummel him with lots of material that they have stored up. They will brand him as a snake handler, child molester, whoremonger, son of a kook, etc.

“Cruz is disliked by his colleagues in the Senate “

That does not matter. Cruz is disliked by voters

There’s only one person generating excitement and bringing out tens of thousands of everyday Americans out to rallies all across this country and his name isn’t Cruz.

He has no over-arching philosophy and shoots from the hip in his personal life and business life.

His overarching philosophy is that the American government should serve the American people.

We, as a nation, cannot afford the risk of his shoot-from-hip
style of management at the top of the federal government.

******************

Well how has the current style been? It has about taken this country
down the road of no return. Where are the jobs going, how much higher
must the welfare rolls grow, how much larger can the gov’t both local
and federal grow, how much larger can the restrictions on personal
freedoms grow, etc. etc. etc.?

A change in management and gov’t direction may be a good item for
the longevity of our country.

You and whoever wrote this in his BLOG doesn't understand anything about anyone running in this race, politics, and just WHO and WHAT the candidates REALLY are!

Hillary plays by her own rules and "debates" with her own rules as well. She has history "debating" a younger, very good GOP debater, and beating him not just handily, but destroying him utterly, with one short sentence.

Cruz is NOT a good debater, he is incapable of thinking on his feet, during a debate, his style is that of a Freshman high school debater combined with lawyerly weasel words and stances. He has NO idea what Hillary's "buttons" are, how to beat her, and as far as his supposed plans are, he doesn't understand them, they aren't his at all, but purloined and made worse, by others!

Cruz is probably THE worst candidate, one could pick, to go up against Hillary or Bernie, is a debate/the general election!

I don't believe that you were EVER for Trump! You, very obviously, don't know a single FACT about him, what he stands for, his "philosophy" how business works, nor that he is the ONLY one who can shut Hillary or Bernie down in a debated and in the general.

You need to do a massive amount of study, to educate yourself, prior to posting again.

Not true. Couric interviewed Cruz in June of 2015. She kept trying to pin him down on deportation and he kept telling her the FIRST thing that had to be done was secure the border.

Ted Cruz interviewed by Yahoo!'s Katie Couric - time 51:43 mins

Facts be damned - perception is everything.

Once the stigma of “unpopularity” is attached to a person, in whatever venue, there is a herd mentality of “piling on” that is almost mindless, and feeds upon itself. If everybody else is saying he is terrible, or abrasive, or in some other way not of the favored profile, then the herd draws tightly together, and forms a solid wall of censure and harsh rebuke. Not a considered judgment, but warmed up for a good, solid, Orwellian “Two-Minute Hate”.

The people who engaged in this groupthink thing, if they have the least amount of introspection, come away with at some perhaps poorly articulated but very real feelings of have committed some grievous sin against a fellow human being. Some will rationalize this as being, well, he deserved it anyway, a conclusion based on nothing at all except what you may have heard someone else repeat.

But there remains that deep gut feeling that something is gravely wrong, and you can’t seem to dislodge it from your mind.
