Rush Limbaugh Has Completely Lost His Way
http://www.redstate.com/ ^ | April 16th, 2016 | leon_h_wolf

Probably no one has earned more leeway from conservative voters and pundits than Rush Limbaugh. Rush has been a tireless force for the conservative movement for decades, and he probably is responsible for a whole lot of conservative Republicans who are currently in office. But thankfulness for past service only goes so far, and Rush’s program yesterday officially crossed the line.

When I think about Rush’s last year or so on air, I’m reminded of Marshall Phillipe Petain, one of the most intriguing figures of the twentieth century. Without Petain, the French might not have prevailed over the Germans at Verdun, and thus might have lost World War I. But for as much thanks as France owed Petain for his service in World War I, the full historical reckoning for Petain must acknowledge that Petain was a Nazi collaborator, the leader of Vichy France, and a totalitarian dictator. Petain’s history is complicated, and to tell the whole tale honestly requires acknowledging both the good and the bad.

So it is with Rush. For all he has done, and for all we should be thankful for, it is hard to deny that Donald Trump has brought conservatism to a critical moment. From this moment forward, it will either resemble the vision Rush has preached for thirty years, or it will not. It will either move forward as a recognizable force, or it will be destroyed with Trump in a historic landslide election.

I don’t know about all those points

I just responded that Mark Levin who I once listened to daily is a nevertrump now and has personal connects to Cruz and takes GOP which by default now means Cruz PACS money

It’s a conflict to me

Trump has no solid radio folks though 4-5 are fair to him

Savage likes him....but Savage is like Beck

Did anyone hear Laura’s f bomb live on air last Friday

My wife and I about sharted

The station I had her on was publicly angry at her

She did not realize she was live.

Even if Cruz were to be elected, he sure as hell is not going to abolish the IRS or even significantly modify it. Prosecute Lois Lerner and her ilk? Very much more likely. But the IRS Code ain’t going nowhere.

Savage is no Beck. He can be irritable and annoying and mean, but he’s no Beck.

Did you mean DTS or TDS? The former seems to be Deranged Trump Syndrome which does not equate to what i think you meant, namely, Trump Derangement Syndrome. p>

On a separate note, Trump is simply no conservative. That’s why the conservative talk show hosts are not happy with him. Likewise a BIG chunk of the base.

How do you explain that he was rabidly pro-Trump and now he is supposedly against him?

Ted bought hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Levin’s book through some PAC and miraculously Levin changed his mind.

First sentence: Didn't you mean to say you have been listening to RUSH since '89?

Otherwise, spot on as usual!

IRS, Dept. of Education, and the EPA is a commitment to smaller government.

LOL. But that is only from your imagination. Trump is very clear about expanding Medicare, Medicaid, fully socializing medicine, expanding eminent domain, pushing forward gay rights. He has never been a proponent of smaller government. His career has been based on using big government.

“Did anyone hear Laura’s f bomb live on air last Friday”

It was excellent. Some of my pals brought me onto their radio show and had me so worried about my habit of dropping F-bombs that I could hardly think of anything else.

At least when I write I can edit them out.

Do you have any proof of that? I don’t know if it’s true or not. I do know that Trump gave seven figures to Hillary and Trump will make a fortune if Hillary is the next president. I do know a real estate developer like him will benefit if outright amnesty is passed.

You’d have to ask him

Google Levin #nevertrump

Strange world we live in... a Southerner supporting a virulent Southerner-hater and a Philadelphian who supported a New Yorker, and is now against him. Maybe the last part is not a surprise, after all, Philadelphians booed and threw snowballs at Santa Claus.

Trump carried the entire South sans Texas and Oklahoma

I do like Heidi Cruz myself and I thought his daughters were endearing

Then you know more about them then I do. I have a number of qualms about Cruz. But even Kasich, would be a far, far better candidate for conservatives, and even moderates, than Trump. And I don't care much for Kasich as a candidate. Isn't Obama enough?

“Oh, and his campaign manager Corey is a close friend of Priebus and was working at a pro-amnesty, RINO thinktank when Trump hired him. “

Yet when you google images of Lewandowski and Priebus nothing comes up showing them together.

Lewandowski worked for the Koch’s Americans for Prosperity in New Hampshire while holding two other jobs.

Priebus spent his pre-RNC career working in Wisconsin.

Let’s see nick back up his claim that the two are “good friends”.

Yes, a RINO, pro-amnesty group.

There you go wardaddy, producing evidence and stuff.

I don’t think that’s allowed.

Do you deny Trump gave seven figures to the Clintons and was Democrat a few years ago?
