Rep. Pete King: ‘I think I’ll take cyanide’ if Ted Cruz is the nominee

'I hate Ted Cruz'

If Ted Cruz and Rand Paul had a congressional arch enemy, you can bet that it would be ruddy-faced New York Representative Pete King (R). King has been a consistent “wacko-bird hater” for a few years now, and (unlike others) his anger has only grown as time passes.

We’re sure King was relieved when Rand Paul dropped out of the 2016 race, but as the field winnowed he was still faced with a pesky Ted Cruz problem. Just in case you were laboring under the delusion that he would fall in line should Cruz become the eventual nominee, King has decided to make his position crystal clear: (video below)

I’m a solid Trump supporter, but would have no problem voting for Cruz if he gets the nomination. Let’s all remember: the real enemies are the Witch and the DemonCraps.

Same here in reverse. I’ve voted against Democrats far more than I’ve ever voted for Republicans and don’t expect to change that behavior anytime soon. For the primary I vote ideology. In the general I vote survival.

“Another great reason to support Ted!”

I agree.

This endorsement almost makes up for Glen Beck’s.

Even though that is a tempting inducement, Cubanadians are not eligible.

No he won’t. Not any more than any of the *stars* who have
vowed to leave the country IF certain politicians are
elected. Never do.

Probably about 90% of us do agree on those basics. Have you ever been in a situation where one of your friends just did not like or trust someone you had a high regard for and did trust? This is a sort of mass version. And what makes it complicated is it’s over two men, both of whom have their good points and question marks. But a lot of us spend our time trying to convince the other “side” that their guy is utter scum instead of explaining why we like one of them. The kicker? If you believe the polls either of these guys will lose and lose badly to anything the Democrats put up. Very disheartening.

That’s awesome! Supporting Cruze would be worth it if he promised to carry through with it...
