Female from a swing state is a good idea. Pam Bondi, AG of Florida, who has endorsed Trump.

Sorry, don’t see it happening, Cruz has burned his bridges.

Yes, but not sneaky, cheating ones.

Palin may be a possibility. Tosses a bone to the socons, who came out for her even as VP to the odious traitor McCain, and she has been a strong and early backer of Trump. She’s already vetted on the national stage and has proven she can handle herself, and she’s 100% pro-American and not a globalist at all.

Hispanic name. That would be good.

Female? Fiorina to attack Hillary. Can’t do the sexist thing then.

Interesting article, but I don’t see a tRump/Cruz or Cruz/tRump ticket. Can’t see either candidate wanting to be VP. Of course, I could be wrong. I think more likely, but not by much, a tRump/K-sick ticket could be put forth. They seem to me to be closer in ideology, even though I’m hard pressed to see tRump having a clear, concise one other than “build the MFin’ wall,” “top people, the BEST people,” and “so much winning, you’re gonna get tired of winning!” I hear he’s trying his damndest to pivot and sound more presidential, though.

But realistically In the General Election Trump will win Texas anyway. As much as it makes me gag Kasich is more likely. Someone has suggested Rick Scott of Florida.

I concur. Trump will probably need a couple of hundred votes in the worst case and Kasich brings that to the table. He also is popular in Ohio so that doesn't hurt. Kasich is also pretty well vetted given multiple elections he's been through in his career. He won't flop in a debate he has proven himself there. So he brings more to the ticket than Cruz.

Rick Scott while a decent governor gets beaten up in the media pretty regularly. Trump has a good shot at Florida without him on the ticket. I would look for a deal with Rubio for a cabinet post. Rubio has a chance to scavenge votes in South Florida which usually votes Democratic.

As for Cruz if I were he I would be talking with the Trump team about a cabinet position and a nomination to the Supreme Court. That would be a pretty good legacy and he can cause enough trouble that it might be worth giving it to him to unify the party.

The problem for Trump is that he also has Ben Carson, Chris Christie and Rudy Guilliani to place in the administration. Rudy has said he doesn't want a position but I think he's just being kind. He would probably jump at Homeland Security director.

Trump, needs a vp who can work his deals with the legislative branch
Cruz has a senate history of not being the guy to do that
Nobody likes him and we’re talking the House and Senate here, not a bunch of self important local delegates who are flattered at being courted by a weasel
Why would trump think he would be an asset?
Kasich would be his better choice and less likely to necessitate trump hiring a food taster

Exactly so and Trump is NOT a stupid man, so he shan't go for this at all. Trump does NOT "need" Teddy; Teddy needs every ounce of HELP he can get...from EVERYWHERE!

This is just the Cruzites' wetdream, because there is NO other way that Teddy shall ever get near the presidency; not ever!

Kasich as VP would definitely require Trump having a food taster. And maybe a food taster for his food taster too.

Kasich is full-on globalist. If Trump picks a globalist as VP he is guaranteeing that the globalist cabal will try to take him out to install one of their own in his place, just like what happened with Reagan when Reagan made the mistake of naming Bush as his VP.

Another referral, re: Post #28. Evidently, the recent tensions have caused more than one sense of humor to short circuit.

The "Bite Me, Michelle Fields" ticket.

I mean... c'mon.

[::shakes head::] ;)

Does Martinez have personal issues or is that just rumor?
We're talking trump here folks
He doesn't need to be PC and pick an affirmative action VP to pander to anyone
He needs a strong honest hard working guy to glad hand and arm twist over on the Hill
But not a GOPe stooge or plant, or a personal power grubbing tripper like Calgary Cruz

Unfortunately anyone effective enough to move the Hill to work with Trump on his agenda is going to have a strong smell of establishment approval and that means if not being a NWO guy, then being able to deal with them

The term “ globalist” is just too amorphous these days
Trump,is also a globalist in his trade policies and also in security affairs

He just claims he’s going to be a smarter one who actually advances his own country’s interests in global arrangements

TPP approval is a pretty clear litmus test for determining who is fundamentally globalist and who is not.

Kasich hates everything trump stands for. can’t see that happening.

I still smell a Rubio, though the New Mexico gov might not be bad. I only mention marco because Donald did.

is danny boy from ‘88 still around? :)

Kasich does not strike me as the sharpest tool in the box
Maybe too much smokey dokey back in his early days running with Condit and the boys?
He likes to claim to be the “ adult” by being a milquetoast
To me he’s loveable Mr Rogers until someone walks on his lawn and then he goes Hannibal Lecter on them - he is creepy unstable
So wth is his puppet master?
