That's one side of the equation. Cruz would have to say 'yes' and why on earth would he do that? There's nothing in it for him.
I don't see Cruz bringing anything to the ticket. He doesn't help in the south, people hate him in the northeast, and the general election is not a caucus where a candidate can hide behind the scenes trying to force a redo.
