The Church in the Middle Ages accepted the Greek idea that the world was round. It fit in with the whole cosmology of the spheres of the time. Discounting uneducated sailors on Columbus ships, everyone — especially educated Church leaders — accepted a round earth.
Which means the X-Y chromosome deniers are truly the greatest science deniers in history. There should be a Nobel Prize for Denying Science. And they should get it, as a group.
