When I was in the army, one of the black soldiers complained about getting put on a mowing detail...the reason was being in the sun made him darker. Apparently this is a big deal, and one of the reasons blacks avoid pools and beaches.

Yesterday I bought two large picnic blankets that are light, fuzzy, fold-up and have handles like briefcases.
I did not post the article I posted the tweet about the article in the bloggers section of FR.
I saw that.
It’s just a little unusual to see a third party article posted.
No big deal. The article was good. I read it in anticipation of Obama actually saying what the headline said. I just had that “did I miss something feeling” when I first read it.
The tweet by anti-PV warrior and Trump booster Milo was a witty retort to the article.

I went to Fairhope high school in 75...grad....one year and lived at Point Clear....id live there too if I could afford it
I like St George Island too but wifey finds it too isolated
Fort Morgan in my youth was sparse and huge dunes.....no high rises on the entire panhandle then or Alabama and no perdido really
Destin had the holiday inn....old school....someone built a tall octagon Quality Inn that failed

Had an black army buddy from GA who would swing by and visit me in Chicago when he would visit his daughter.
One year he was going to be in town during my time I spend at a WI Northwoods cabin and I asked him to come along, he did.
He was very very nervous being out in the woods. This was a guy I spent 2 years with in Nam. He just did not like being in the woods with white people.
I understand that. I understand his background. The first time he was around a bunch of white people at once was in Vietnam. But it was still strange to witness how nervous he became.
But... that being said, I’m sure more white folks would be nervous on the west side or south side of Chicago than any black folk would be camping.

That’s true! I have a friend who has a public farm in Maryland which is on the Potomac. The only people fishing are black. At the Jersey Shore, most of the folks fishing and crabbing are black.
