Forget peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Now, were supposed to believe there may be a racial component to Amazons new same-day shipping service for Prime members in certain areas of the country.
The Christian Science Monitor reported:
For many black consumers and especially those who have experienced discrimination in retail shops, Amazon presents a good option for shopping without being followed around or singled out.
Heres the kicker:
But a Bloomberg analysis of the same-day shipping services reveals a racial bias: Amazons same-day shipping service often excludes predominantly black neighborhoods in six major cities.
Say what?
Some companies have made delivery decisions based on the composition of neighborhoods, the Monitor said, but Amazon officials explained their decision is based, in part, on the concentration of Prime members, as well as the proximity of the area to Amazons warehouses.
In other words, they used common sense to make their decision, not political correctness.
Apparently common sense is racist now as well.
God help us.
Or is it?
A few years ago, the Seattle-based e-commerce company launched a same-day delivery service that allows some customers to receive their products on the same day, eliminating one of the advantages that retail stores held over Amazon. The service, which is now available in 27 US metro areas, covers about 1,000 cities across the country. Its part of the Amazon Prime $99 annual membership, which includes two-day free shipping and other benefits such as Prime video and Prime music. The service can also include same-day free shipping for products over $35 in areas where it is available.
I only order shipped in black boxes.
Well there's the problem, that simply will not do. You see our current crop of "tolerant" and "accepting" liberals must immediately categorize and label everything and everyone. Accounts must be kept, ledgers must be balanced. So we must (well, according to libtard logic) factor bias into everything we do or say. (ignoring that this very act is itself biased and discriminatory in the extreme)
For any decision, there must be a hidden agenda. There must be something there that can be held up and promoted to further the agenda, or held up and vilified. Either works, but the agenda must be served. We will find racism, sexism, homophobia where ever it exists. After all, fascists, under the guise of national socialists, were able to similarly demonstrate a Jewish cause to all that ailed Germany. We're seeing the exact same pattern repeated here, just more diversified. Our current crop of fascist/socialists have more tools in their toolbox.
If only there were no stolen packages.
Bezos is a gay marriage supporter and all things liberal.
Make them play by their own rules.
I say hooray. Right out of Alinsky.
Why don’t blacks that hate whitey just go find their own country before they push this crap too far?
“Why dont blacks that hate whitey just go find their own country before they push this crap too far?”
It does not appear that it is black people that are complaining about Amazon not providing same day delivery in their neighborhoods. The article instead details how Bloomberg researched and the CSM reported on the issue.
lol.
this #$@#$ is gonna backfire, i’m telling ya.
this nonsense, bowel movements matter, the ####s attacking the RNC while holding the #### flag. hillary’s BORING talk of equal pay. letting f....ts and freaks use the opposite bathrooms.
the dems have lost their minds.
They did. It is called Liberia.
Didn’t turn out too well.
Flaunting my white privilege was the main reason I joined Amazon Prime.
Free shipping is OK too.
working?...well, there's the problem....
If they all leave thier is no trough to feed from, no free stuff, no one to pay attention to to them when they have a childish fit
Add to that Amazon stopped selling the Confederate flag when that whole thing happened. I've cut my use of Amazon whenever there's an equal choice (not boycott, but amazing how many times there are choices)
The solution is simple. Have pick-up centers in stores as an option for everyone. Bezos is a genious. He could figure it out if he were so inclined.
Apparently common sense is racist now as well.
Always has been.
ANY consumption of oxygen by whites is racist, they have made that plain.
If a hood is “2 cops to a car” then the USPS,UPS and all others should be very concerned for employees just as the local public utilities are.
Its not racism its common sense
Black and other unruly shitbirds need to fix their environment or be denied basic comforts of life like “Free Delivery”.Till then F’em
The real reason they don’t deliver there is because most of the packages are robbed off the porches and never reach those who purchased them.
Packages being stolen like that is happening all over with increasing frequency.
I live in a well to do area with typically very low crime rates and packages being stolen here happens quite a bit. On a recent news cast one woman who had a video camera at her front door recorded a man getting out of his vehicle after pulling up in her driveway, stealing a package off her front step, calmly getting back in his car and driving away.
That same scene repeated itself at other houses on the same street and in the same neighborhood. I am familiar with that town and neighborhood, all the homes there are $1 million plus. Clearly that area is being targeted by someone/some group thinking the packages they're stealing have something pretty valuable in them.
Stealing packages (which are then presumably opened, used or re-sold) has become quite a cottage industry in my part of the world. It's so bad I have my medications delivered to the church I attend and pick them up there. I simply cannot afford $1,500 in medications walking off my front step and having to replace them once stolen.
The way to take this war back to the ‘bomb throwers’ at Bloomberg and the Christian Science Monitor would be to do a study of the home addresses of the key management and editorial and reporting staff for those august institutions and see just how many of them actually exclude predominantly black neighborhoods...
Anyone wanna place bets?
