Hillary Clinton is the final nail in the coffin of the United States Constitution. Donald Trump, if guided properly by the people around him, may very well be the crowbar that begins to open the lid again
Is Donald Trump the perfect Republican Candidate? Absolutely not. Is he a Republican in the first place? I think he might be, but overall hes a wild card. Is Donald Trump a better candidate than the other GOP candidates he beat? In some cases, but not in all of them. Is Donald Trump a better candidate for President of the United States than Hillary Clinton? You bet your bottom dollar he is.
After Donald Trump completed his solid victory in the Indiana Primary (after struggling in States who hold caucuses), his competitors in the GOP race (Ted Cruz and John Kasich) promptly suspended their campaigns. The cleared path makes Donald Trump the presumptive Republican Candidate in the 2016 Presidential Election.
At this point, if Cruz somehow ends up as president, our Republic is over and a new civil war will break out. You are advocating for blood in the street, as far as I am concerned. Cruz isn’t worth the damage he would cause. Sick!
“I dont think even Trump knows what he will do as President.”
You’re absolutely right. However, we DO know exactly what Hillary will do as President, and since she looks like the only alternative, letting it all ride on black is probably our best option left, and I say that with sadness :(
“Now Trump wants us conservatives and others to bow at his feet and unify. This is especially outrageous, given the way he bullied his way to the nomination trashing anyone in his path.”
True, and this will hurt Trump in his attempt to unify. His best bet is to reach out to his biggest competitors now that they are beaten and extend an olive branch. If they could bury the hatchet, then perhaps the rest of the party could as well. As of yet, though, it doesn’t appear that Trump is a big enough man to do that.
grumpa you are the most transparent TROLL in some time. You are the type who would carjack a group of 4 off duty cops on their way to a shooting range : )
Z O T
Listen up Grump, Ted Cruz is back in his senate seat contemplating his navel this week. He isn’t going to win anything this year with the possible exception of most disliked colleague in the Senate.
The Republican nominating process is over. Donald Trump has won. Get on board or go away.
We had about a two day rest from the Cruz nuts but they are back in force. Boy, would I hate to be an admin here. I try not to bother them a lot but I’ve overused my abuse button today!
Exactly! Michael has nothing on OUR sufferings!
My salvation lies elsewhere.
'Cept there are no biggest competitors...
They are the ones who need to extend the olive branch because we can win without them or with them...
Trump is not running to be accepted by the Republican club...He's running to save America...If Trump offered an olive branch, he loses even if he wins...
Do you put your money where your mouth is? Have you donated to Cruz? Have you donated to FR?
Lots of "empty mouths out there that sound and act an awful lot like Democrats - like a lot of Cruz's ex-big-money donors....
“They are the ones who need to extend the olive branch because we can win without them or with them...”
If you think that, then you’re in a bubble and acting counter to your own best interests (assuming you want to win).
“Trump is not running to be accepted by the Republican club...He’s running to save America...If Trump offered an olive branch, he loses even if he wins...”
Trump is running for President, and he will need the voters who were loyal to the other Republican candidates in order to win. He loses nothing by showing a little magnanimity and doing the decent thing. After all, he is the nominee, anyone who is upset by Trump doing so would have no option left except to whine about it and stamp their feet, and we already have plenty of people doing that.
Bull. Trump is going to the “monster” vote. the 100,000,000 that never vote.
Well, that’s a nice dream to shoot for, but it still makes no logical sense to not try to lock up the loyal republican voters who you already KNOW will show up on election day.
Naw...There aren't enough supporters outside of Cruz that would make a difference...And most Cruz supporters outside of the hand picked RNC delegates support most of Trumps major points anyway...
Besides, if Trump back tracked on building the wall and bringing jobs back from China, he'd lose far more support than he would gain if he dumped those ideas...
“Naw...There aren’t enough supporters outside of Cruz that would make a difference...And most Cruz supporters outside of the hand picked RNC delegates support most of Trumps major points anyway...”
There are still reasons those people voted for Cruz instead of Trump despite the similarity in platform points. Choosing to ignore that may be comforting, but it does nothing to help build a coalition to win the general election.
“Besides, if Trump back tracked on building the wall and bringing jobs back from China, he’d lose far more support than he would gain if he dumped those ideas...”
Nobody said anything about backtracking or changing his positions. No other candidates have done that in the past, because it’s not necessary. What I’m talking about is simple common sense stuff like, say, stop bashing people after you have already beaten them, or maybe reach out to them and say “what do I need to do to make you comfortable endorsing me?” Trump loses nothing by making gestures like that, but he stands to lose quite a lot by refusing to make such gestures.
He will seal our borders and deport the dangerous muzzies Obama has imported and distributed all over America-AGAINST OUT WILL.
LETS MAKE THIS THE BIGGEST REPUBLICAN VOTER TURN OUT IN HISTORY!
