Silly agent. If I were in the real estate business, I would have used the mention on the Ellen show in my marketing materials.
A town up the road had a pastor named Dick Harden. You’d think he would have used “Richard” on the big sign out front.
1. I bet their families aren't thrilled about it.
2. Taking on Western names does them no good in their country. It won't get them a "better" job and may even get them NO job.
3. I can't believe that their job application would use their phony Western names. Most employers would think it puerile, which it is.
4. Their college applications will have to be their true names, whether THERE or Here.
5. If they get a social security number, again they will have to use their REAL one.
6. Their passport, whether here or there, will also have to be with their correct name.
7. They WILL grow up.
I have always found that the 20-somethings THERE look AND, more important, ACT like 15-somethings HERE, rather immature. Perhaps that's the culture.
When those small, cute Asian women get here, American men think they are so CUUUUUTTTE. When the small cute Asian men get here they are also CUUUUTTTE.
Great for the women. They are catered to like crazy until, of course, they get old and fat. Also Asian women, especially Chinese women, get the male baldness pattern, a "gift" from their genes. Not nice. Google that; it's true.
As for the Asian men, they come to a country where EVERY man is USUALLY taller, ALWAYS bigger muscled, MUCH stronger and usually rather disdainful of the small, cute Asian men. Even short American men are ALWAYS stronger than any Asian man, born here or there.
One OFTEN sees American men with the cute, Asian women but one RARELY sees American women with the cute, Asian men. What woman wants "small and cute" in a man? None that I know of.
My husband was six feet tall, extremely strong, well muscled and grew up in a TOUGH neighborhood.
1. We once went there to see where he grew up. We stopped at an under-crossing because eight young punks blocked the way.
Lol. As they approached, my husband said NOT ONE WORD, but all of a sudden all eight of them stopped. They had SEEN the look on his face and in his eyes. Even though he was middle aged they saw that his silence said: Come on, give me some s*** and you might beat me up but some of you are going to die.
2. Another event happened as well. The mean, nasty guy got out his car to "get me." My husband, in the passenger seat opened the car door and JUST stepped out. Mean and nasty took ONE look at him, turned on his heel, got into his car and drove away, FAST.
