"...continue to pay $700 happily for a new phone every six months..."

Every 6 months? Are you serious?

My $249 ancient 2006 Nokia 6060 "Clamshell" cellphone just fried itself fall of 2014, so I got a $140 Samsung Galaxy Rugby 4 (AT&T) Flip Phone replacement. I can't imagine paying $700 for a lousy, frigging phone.

I refuse to own an Apple anything. Typical Lib hypocrites. Pay people so very little, work them like dogs while they become billionaires.

Fifth: Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, etc. have not decided to ban any and all support for Trump and the GOP.

Buy Apple and overtly oppose Trump!

Sorry about China, but I could give a crap. We have people in our own country out of jobs; jobs be given to foreigners with H1-B visa’s and our folks being forced to train them and then they have to sign an no disclosure form to get their severance pay. China who steals from us in many ways;cyber-theft of industrial secrets is just one of many.

They put chemicals, poisons, plastics in our food; our dog food, they threaten our military, they abuse and torture their own citizens.

They are now processing our chickens and sending them back to us; again jobs Americans could do.

Yeah, China who monitors their citizens in everything they do and say. Political and religious prisons.

We have homeless Vets, Vets dying due to lack of treatment, Americans losing more and more jobs to China and other foreign countries.

Yes, by all means, you go ahead and put CHINA first.

I watched his Las Vegas rally this evening. He stated, as I understood it, that the Chinese are starting to take control of what Apple can sell...at any rate Apple was being treated unfairly by the Chinese and that they don’t know what to do about it. He said by mentioning it in the rally, he’s doing a great service to Apple because the mention causing negative worldwide publicity for the Chinese will cause the problem to be solved.

Spreading FUD, WayneDuPreeShow? The workers in the companies that Apple contracts with in China are paid MORE than the prevailing factory wages paid by other consumer electronics companies who contract with the same companies. In fact, given the economy of China, the value of the wages Apple pays are the equivalent of a good factory wage in the USA. The workers at these assembly plants are not slaves, but people who actually queue by the thousands to apply for every opening on assembly lines for Apple because Apple lines pay far better than say Microsoft, Sony, Lenovo, Samsung, HP, etc. It is the workers' CHOICE to work there and earn good wages instead of earning two to three times less working on some other CE company's assembly project other than Apple's. As for conditions, independent auditors (NOT China Labor Watch, a New York based money raising organization that does ZERO to help Chinese workers which has been caught in fraud), have investigated and found working conditions are far better than average at FoxConn. — PING!

Put your money where your mouth is and I will continue to pay $700 happily for a new phone every six months.

I've owned Apple iPhones since the first one was released on June 29, 2007. Never has Apple release new iPhones on an every six months schedule. That erroneous claim alone shows you have never owned an iPhone.

Apple brags about its “record profits” and its hundreds of billions in cash, yet, it claims it has to use slave labor in China or else it cannot afford to make products to sell to the world.

LIAR. Apple has never "claims it has to use slave labor in China" . . . That is YOUR claim.

They have in the past FYI

No, actually they have not. Apple has not made any political contributions to EITHER party. Not even inkind contributions. Steve Jobs kept Apple, the company, out of politics.

Apple Supports Slavery!

No, Apple does not. Every worker in Apple's supply chain is an employee who applied to work there. Assembly workers at FoxConn for example have queued by the thousands for every single opening on Apple's assembly line because it PAYS BETTER, by two to three times, than assembly work on other consumer electronics companies such as Microsoft's, Sony's, Lenovo's, HP's, etc, because Apple's contracts with FoxConn requires that level of pay for their workers on Apple's assembly lines. Apple's contracts also limits the number of hours of overtime and regulates working conditions. Apple is the ONLY CE company that puts its own full-time company employees into the plants to monitor the pay, working conditions, and overtime of the Contractors' employees doing Apple's work. The others merely pay money to non-profit watchdog groups.

Slaves don't apply do be slaves and slaves certainly don't get to quit if they don't like the working conditions.

Most likely October, one year after the iPhone 6S line.

It was the Apple Employees' Political Action Committee which provided the tech support and Mac computers to the 2008 Democratic and Republican Conventions, not Apple Computer Inc., which, under Steve Jobs, did not support political or even charitable causes.
