The weights mentioned in the article simply don’t seem that out of line. I would certainly hesitate to call them fat as is done here. These are not supposed to be tiny girls and the BMI is certain to be decent for anyone that can complete the tests mentioned.
We need guys like you around to let us know what’s up.

So the weight allowances changed, but did the body fat allowance? There's no mention of it. Only a complete idiot would assume that more weight automatically means more fat.
In place of fixed-arm hanging women, and men, will have the option to choose push-ups instead.

Oh, for God's sake, I hope the author had his fainting couch nearby. Are pull-ups a better indicator of upper body strength than push-ups? Yes. However, doing any reasonable number of push-ups is tougher than doing a flex-arm hang. Then he whines with his "not showing up" strawman.
People like this author make a tough-to-sell concept in today's "All Equal, All The Time" America like "women don't belong in combat units" by screeching like little bitches.
And what exactly do you expect them to do? The military is run by the civilian leadership. All the military leaders can do is make recommendations. Congress and POTUS tell them what to do.

I weighed 110 pounds in boot camp and even I had a problem with push ups..
