The air base, which is used by NATO and stores US tactical nuclear weapons, has been invaded by Erdogans militia two weeks ago when they entered the base in southern Turkey claiming that an investigation is connected with the coup attempt. The electric power supply to the base has also been cut off, forcing the US military to switch to its own internal power supply in order to resume its anti-terrorist campaign in the region. Anti American sentiments are growing in Turkey.

This has to be supported and approved by Erdogan, and likely incited by him as well.
To: rfreedom4u
If I were the commander of this base I would notify the Turkish government that we would use deadly force to defend the base. And despite orders from Barry to surrender I would still do so!

The fact the MSM is not covering the tyranny in Turkey is worrisome.

The juice was restored last week.

This is Obama’s and Turkey’s nuclear weapon transfer
to Iran, al Qaeda, ISIS, and “the rebels”.

This ‘coup’ seems more like a saged event to find out who to purge, so they can complete the muslims brotherhood takeover of Turkey

They will eventually try to take over the US Embassy, just like in Iran.

Time for the A-10s to do some training runs....

It is highly probably that the don’t even have 10% of the small arms ammunition to even put up a good defense. Obama and the SOFA would have already taken care of that.

Incirlic will be over run soon. No attempt to secure the tactical weapons seems to have been made by either NATO or the U.S.

I try to follow world events, which aren't reported AT ALL on TV news. Is this base in or near Kurdish lands? What if ISIS takes it over? How would that jive with the US and allies being in NATO if Erdogen can't or won't stop a takeover? Shouldn't NATO forces be setting a safety zone around that base?
Unbelievable. And we still haven't heard anything definitive about if the US was involved in the coup attempt. We were everywhere else. Please, correct me where I err.

Exactly my thinking. Remind the Turkish leadership that you will use deadly force. That if they don’t want to see hundreds, maybe thousands of dead in the streets around the base they had better keep the protesters back, ‘cause if/when they hit the fence line, my troops have authorization and they will use it. We will not surrender no matter what bammy says because it is an illegal order - we cannot legally turn over nuclear weapons to a third party. We will surrender when we are out of ammo and our bayonets are dulled on the bones of your dead. Maybe not even then.

We appear to be headed towards a giant flaming pile of crap in Turkey. It is IMO likely that the US will have to take out Erdogan and this will probably produce a situation analagous to Iran when the US/UK took out Mossadegh circa 1953 over oil interests and Khadafi in Libya. In one case we took out a very popular leader and in the more recent Libyan case we took out the accepted dictator. Similar result, either way. Not an expert in these things but I believe we are being snookered into working against our own interests. This one could become very dangerous and will probably end up flipping a country to deep Islamist.
We keep doing this.

It’s less than 100 miles from the Syrian border close to the Mediterranean Sea.
