I wonder if and when it will ever come to the light of day just WHY this has been the case for AT LEAST eight years.

“Sorry but with a 8 to 10 thousand dollar deductible you are not “covered” for anything but a catastrophic situation.”

And it lumps pharmacy in with medical. Therefore the 500 dollar prescription where there is no generic has to be paid for every month. Prescription would cost me 10 bucks. I went to a discount med plan and the prescription is now 495 dollars.

They screwed this one up but good.

Well this guy was certainly the beginning of this disaster - winning an election on promises of CUTTING FED SPENDING by $100 BILLION and then bragging that he got a CR passed that in the end cut $30 MILLION.

ALL HAIL THE KING OF THE WHIGS

ObamaCare was touted as the magic elixir to cover those 30 million uninsured, most of whom didn't need or want coverage.

Instead, what it actually has done, is uninsure the people that were insured to begin with before being forced into this ObamaCare mess.

And the uninsured are still largely uninsured. Medicaid and Medicare are not insurance programs. They are government programs.

ObamaCare didn't solve anything except make the government bigger. Which is what the liberals intent was to begin with. To hell with the people. But it destroyed a medical insurance industry and the patients' medical finance budgets.

The American people need to give the big Flying Fickle Finger Of Fate to Obama and the democRATS for f*cking up their lives with another failed program with unintended consequences.

The predicted death spiral is unfolding very quickly.

Sure looks like it.

speaking of minor visits...Medicare now has a “free” program where a nurse visits your house and screens you.....They assess your “living conditions” and ask such questions as..Do you own any guns etc...All free!!! (How many nurses or wannabe nurses does that employ i wonder and the total cost of this “free program?”....and what do they do with the data?)

I recently refused the “Free Service” for the 3rd time and was offered a $20 gift card (I wonder who pays for that and who picks the lucky stores that get paid for the gift card?)

Ive called a toll free number and requested they credit my account with the $20......Haven't heard anything back yet.....Do you think I will??....../s

Obummer, if you are going to make stuff up and change anything any time you want, then we no longer have rule of law - we have dictatorship.

I did not sign on for dictatorship.

Take your clown show and shove it.

I refuse to play.

Damn the consequences.

I heard some chippy women on KABC morning radio saying this only affects 5% of the people. The rest have insurance thru their company. What she left out was the millions of unemployed people and people working 29/hrs thanks to obamacare.

Only a Liberal would consider this logic...

First Parents are required to keep Snowflake on their insurance until they are 26.

Then when there are not enough people paying into the Exchanges to cover costs, they decide we are going to increase the fine for not having coverage.

HELLO. The healthy people are already COVERED BY LAW under their parents Policy. Mostly thru private Carriers, that their parents have thru their Employers.

I remember reading Obamacare has a built-in “time bomb” that hits in 2017 when Obama leaves office, that will cause rates to skyrocket and probably put a lot of insurers out of business.

I guess if they think Hillary is going to win, they want to patch those holes now or she’d be left with a stinking mess on her hands.

From it’s “conception” the FUBAR that is ObamaCare was doomed. It never even looked good on paper let alone passed the smell test.

Before I retired in 2006 a pal of mine, a Swifty by the way, and I talked about post retirement Medical.

He urged me to sign up for the VA, I have a slight disability. His argument was even if you don't use them they are there and affordable, so I did, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Best move I have made in a while, after Obama care came into being. It's not to bad in NH and where else can you be operated on, in a major teaching Hospital for $50.

Sounds good.

Plus, being signed up for VA, you’re not subject to O’care penalty.

That’s also one of the benefits of Medicare Part A (no O’care penalty).

I don't think there is any requirement that children under 26 have to be on your insurance. They are allowed to be covered if you can afford it or it is beneficial financially to do so. Some people with crappy employer coverage can't afford to cover their spouses, let alone their adult kids. Those people are stuck in no mans land. They have to pay the full rate even if their income is at subsidy levels. Many pay the penalty.

If they don't have coverage through work it might actually be beneficial to have the adult kids on the plan if the family income is at subsidy levels.

“Pretty soon states who took federal funds to expand Medicaid will be entirely on their own for the Medicaid enrollees.”

Funding for Expanded Medicaid has nothing to do with the exchanges or whether they even exist.

“Right. Because Congress is controlled by Republicans, and that would mean Obama would have to accept meaningful changes that would make the law less effective in propping up the political agenda he seeks to serve through it.”
