Sec. Education - two years to dismantle the Department or sell off programs to the States. Commercially rent the facilities with proceeds going directly to pay off the deficit principle.
Then move him to Sec. Labor with mandate to implement Apprenticeship guidelines in STEM fields. Taxpayer money only goes for Think-tank and Facilitator activities. Industry & Business fund & run their own programs with 80% tax deductions for these program costs. States are encouraged to bid with the companies for the remaining tax breaks.
Palin should be in charge of the Department of Energy, and its mission redefined.

Same with every other department - they shoyld be closed down to 1/10th of their size, and just be in charge of reporting how the nation (through individual states) is doing. Coordinating national standards where necessary, and reporting to the president any serious deficiencies.

If this campaign has shown it's that Ben Carson is a drifty as a flag in the breeze. He would be a constant annoyance to a Trump administration and is better of in retirement.
She undoubtedly would be competent in this position but I think she is qualified to be in a more policy-shaping position. Her talents would be somewhat wasted if she was limited to press secretary even though she would be great in that position. But perhaps she could have a dual role behind the scenes.So if that were the case I would agree with you.

Trump will have a closely watched 100 days—he must be ready with his cabinet picks so they can start to fix America ASAP. He needs committees set up to handle the big issues like A)The Economy, B)The healthcare problems (Trumpcare to replace Obamacare)C)Reconstruction of the Military (Pardon Gen Petraus) Put Gen. Flynn in Charge. D) committee to rebuild hope in Inner Cities E) a commiittee to rebuild American infrastructure F) group to redo the Borders and build wall/fences and build up border patrols. President Trump should have his First Cabinet meeting January 20th right after the parade and before the Balls. America hired him to Fix things—he should start day one.
Wasn’t Rick Perry strong on immigration policy and exerting state’s rights? I thought DHS or ICE would be a good fit.
