Ooh. Didn’t think of that. I know the culture in Northern California is much different than Southern California. Even in Southern California, there are sensible people even in LA/Orange County or San Diego...it’s mostly the Bay Area that annoys me. LA’s big problem is the illegals more than anything.

California is the only reason Clinton won the (irrelevant) national popular vote. If their fifty-five electoral votes are gone, Democrats won't be winning many presidential elections. Take those two Senate seats and illegal aliens with you, California.
Actually, if CaliExit does succeed in its ambitions, I envision a mass exodus from California into the Western part of the USA that is left. These states like AZ, Colorado and Texas. Quite honestly, I do not think this will pass and if it does the Northern part of California will break away from the South. They already want to do this and have been trying to do so for about 6 years now.
This can work out well. CA gets independence, but is very close to the USA, can hire out the US Military for defense and be a seamless trade partner. I think it’s a win all around.
CALexit 2018 is something every conservative American should support.
1) Pelosi and her spawn will never again be in Congress
2) Dems can kiss 55 EC votes goodbye for Prez.
3) No fear essential Federal Military bases will remain. US military has currently has hundreds of military bases in foreign countries, many have been in place for over 70 years.
California is welcome to leave the Union, but with some stipulations:
There will be no financial support from the US, ever.
The new wall on the Mexican border will be extended to wall out California, too.
The US will accept no refugees or immigrants from CA.
Illegal immigration from CA will be treated as a serious felony with required jail time for those convicted.
They want out, they should be kept out.
In a generation, CA will have the economy & social stability of El Salvador.

This is our chance to get rid of them. We don't want them back.

However, they do not get to dictate terms. We do.
They can have the “blue” counties and cities, but we keep all the “red” counties and “red” areas that are presently within “blue” counties. We also keep northern California — the state of Jefferson. We keep the Navy bases in San Diego and the Marine bases inland, as well as Edwards Air Force base, and any and all other presently existing military bases. We sell the “blue” areas water, but on our terms and at our prices. They can take it or leave it.
We cut off all federal (USA) payments to these “blue” areas. None of our tax dollars will go to anything in the seceded areas.
What about being on the grid?
One big problem.
Unless California’s citizens renounce their US citizenship, all US residents will retain their US citizenship, despite California no longer being a part of the US.
The US should stipulate that if it allows the vote for secession to take place in California, and the vote succeeds, the following four stipulations must occur.
One, if the vote fails, California will be split into a minimum of four states, with Jefferson being the northern most.
Two, once a votes takes place, only those Congressional Districts, where a majority of voters, vote for secession, will in fact secede. All other Congressional Districts will remain part of the US.
Three, all US citizens living in the seceding districts be given the choice, before secession becomes final, to migrate from those districts, and in so doing, receive just compensation at fair market value, from the state of California, for their property. This would include an additional $100,000 payment for each family member, to compensate for the mental anguish, for having to move.
Four, those choosing to remain would lose their US citizenship permanently.
