It was written that CONGRESS shall pass no law because three-fourths of the states at that time had state religions and did not want Congress to interfere with it.

A lot of people simply do not grasp the purpose or intent of the "establishment" clause. It was a necessary reassurance to religious states that denominational tests would not be applied to people from their states serving in the Federal Government.

It was not to eliminate religion in government, the pervasive position was that everyone in US Government was a Christian. The "establishment clause" was simply a necessity in holding together a coalition of states made up of differing Christian denominations, all of which took religion very seriously.

does she have an opponent yet for 2018?

I'm hoping it's Walker. If he runs, he's a shoo-in and an easy pickup. He's up for re-election in 2018 and I don't think he's got the heart to run for another 3rd term as WI Governor.

Certainly the first amendment says that in institutions of faith that there is absolute power to, you know, to observe deeply held religious beliefs. But I don’t think it extends far beyond that.

She doesn't even understand that Amendment 1 was focused on what government could not do and not some limitation on the people. I doubt a lot of public understand it either due to the MSM brainwashing over the years.

She doesn’t understand our system of government.

The Constitution is not there for the government to grant or take away people their rights.

It’s to limit what the government can do to take away their rights.

The right to worship is ours and protected by the Constitution from people like you who would take it away.

Perhaps the couple who was forced to pay a fine for not baking a cake for two women pretending they were getting married should have argued the case this way: we believe marriage is between a man and woman and not between two women - if they want us to bake a cake to celebrate their loving friendship we would be happy to do that for them - then the court would have had to say NO you have to consider it a wedding cake - get it? In other words bake the cake for them but tell them ‘we do not consider it a wedding cake’ but a dear friendship cake - and then if the two women objected and insisted that the cake company MUST call it a wedding cake - the issue would have been much clearer and the courts would have had to actually state that the company baking the cake MUST use certain speech in reference to cakes they bake !!!

A woman sleeping with another woman is an abomination. All the fags and lezzies are just that.

“Baldwin ignored the fact that it was religious persecution in Europe that led to people fleeing here seeking religious freedom on an individual as well as institutional level”

Up until the 70’s history books taught quite plainly that the vast majority of settler came to America seeking religious freedom. These settlers came to stay. There were others who came for profit, and to make their fortune. The the Constitutions was establish to protect the individual against the overreach of government.

Little by little those who wish to destroy our Republic and establish a socialist utopia have worked to place people in influential positions in our institutions (an intelligentsia).

History has been rewritten to demagogue our Founding Fathers, our nation, and our system of government. Even the reasons for our forefathers coming here have become obscured.

The MSM advocates socialism, changes the meaning of words in our language, and tell us what we should like and dislike, and what is good and evil. The judiciary has become advocates for social justice, rather than equal treatment under the law, and law have been twisted to define good as evil.

Our history books have become social commentaries advocating disrespect for our history, and the subtle advocacy for the establishment of a worldwide governance system.

We really need to make America Great Again. We need a new birth of freedom, with a judiciary dedicated to the Constitution and the reestablishment of judicial restraint, and a return to the government set up by our Founding Fathers.

The Wisconsin GOP is primed and ready to go after Baldwin. She is a terrible senator with a lousy record. Hers is the last “state-wide” office held by a Democrat in Wisconsin. She was deeply involved in a scandal at the Tomah, Wisconsin VA facility. Tammy is about to find out that her novelty has worn off in this newly minted red state.

Christians who marched in solidarity with “dangerous” Madonna and “nasty” Ashley Judd, WWJD? Does it matter?
