“What are they even talking about? We’ve been constantly at war since 2001”

Yes, but our single most fearsome (upfront) enemy was Iraq. How did that go? We crushed Iraq in a matter of days. We’ve had more protracted fights with terrorists, of course, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.

This article is talking about much larger wars than against Al-Qaeda or ISIS. A war with Russia, or China, or North Korea or Iran, or two or more at one time could be a huge and bloody disaster. We are woefully unprepared and, as a people, we simply do not have the will to fight much of anyone. We can lob tomahawks at tin horn dictators, but a real war where hundreds of thousands of troops might get involved, whole fleets of ships, we are just not ready for that.

A war with any of the countries I listed would make Iraq and Afghanistan look like a cake walk.

Oh REAL wars! It’s ridiculous to think that Trump is going to want to fight Russia or China. Definitely less of a concern than if Clinton had won.
