Congressional officials were told by FBI Director James Comey before he was fired that there are just a small number of Americans who are targets of the criminal or counterintelligence probes involving Russia and that none were President Trump or his top aides, Circa has confirmed.
Behind closed doors, Comey provided specific updates on about a half dozen or less targeted US citizens who were the focus of either counterintelligence probes or criminal investigations emanating from the Russia election scandal, sources familiar with the intelligence told Circa.

While the counterintelligence probe is focused is on whether any American was compromised by Russian spies, knowingly or unwittingly, the criminal issues are mostly focused on possible crimes not directly related to the core question of collusions with Russia, such as tax, lobbying or money laundering laws, the sources said.
"As had been stated publicly many times the FBI made clear it does not yet have proof of any criminal collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia or any proof voting ballots were changed. These probes can go on for a long time and things can change, but right now that is what is the state (of things)," said a source.
The sources spoke as Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) took the extraordinary step of going to the Senate Judiciary open hearing Thursday to say that he had been provided no evidence to date in classified briefings that Trump was a target.
"Shortly after Director Comey briefed us, I tweeted that he should be transparent. I said he should tell the public what he told Senator Feinstein and me about whether the FBI is or is not investigating the President," said Grassley.
"On Tuesday, the President’s letter said that Director Comey told him he was not under investigation. Senator Feinstein and I heard nothing that contradicted the President’s statement."
His statement was backed up by his Democratic counterpart on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Dianne Feinstein (D- CA).
Hence the charge by Trump calling out Comey of “grandstanding” in public.
Comey and McCabe publicly say in front of Congress stating there is an Trump Russia investigation, or strongly alluding of one, but behind closed doors they say there is none. BS’ers for the Dems and Media clowns.
What is amazing is that Trump beat Cankles, the DNC, the msm, and Rinos with half the money spent against him.

The way Senator Murray questioned McCabe this morning, it left the impression that Trump lied in his letter to Comey in that he would be informed whether he was under investigation or not. McCabe said people are not informed about that.
NOT ONE person I know who voted for Trump believes it or even gives a #### if it was true.
It would be the UTTER destruction of many Rs in congress to vote for impeachment over such nonsense.
Trump voters aren’t the average voter. Pretty loyal.
And social media is crushing the networks, who stand at a 14 percent positive rating.
If a network airs, and no one watches, is it really airing?

I am really tired of all this Russia stuff. They have no evidence. Instead, maybe Hillary’s moles should be asking all the Bernie voters why they voted for Trump. Cuz that is a more believable scenario for why Hillary lost the election.
I disagree. I like Sarah and find her genuine and unrehearsed. And she really gave it to them today as she read out the Democrats’ prior statements against Comey!
Those reporters before her are always going to want more information than can be given to them, and I think Sarah handles them better than anyone I’ve seen. Besides, the reporters keep asking the same questions over and over again.
I want the President to throw down the gauntlet. Tell these SOB’s to put up or shut up ,demand that the NYT print on it’s front page what evidence it has that the Russians hacked or tampered with any voting machines or changed any votes.When they don’t, then demand what evidence of wrong doing do you base a need for any investigation?

Ditto... on the “unrehearsed”. She is soo unrehearsed it caused a fire storm. Becoming the news is not a good place, particularly because you bring zero information. That is precisely what she did all day yesterday.
If there is a soul around the West Wing, with any clout, Sarah will recede and FAST, until which time she is allowed to be in the loop and actually has something to say. Then we’ll see if she can do combat, not with zingers against the press, but with some substance to her murmerings.
Insulting the press is great fun and they deserve it, but not to hide behind insults to cover up the fact that you don’t really know squat and can bring nothing to the table.
The only collusion between the Executive Branch and Russia was Obama and Russia, Hillary and Russia, Bill and Russia and the Podesta Boys and Russia. And why the hell didn’t the DNC handover their servers to the FBI when they were hacked?
