Just a break from all the political stuff while we decompress with the return of FR. The web comic strip XKCD is created by a radical-libertarian-tech-nerd-materialist, and is often quite crude. At times, though, it is refreshingly original and clever. The author also isn't afraid of presenting paradoxes that for some of us imply an omniscient, omnipotent, personal Creator.

I've always been a fan of Mr. Boffo.
I haven't seen Mr. Boffo for years. He was not particularly a favorite, but my wife appreciates Martin's dry sense of humor. To this day, without particularly thinking about the comic strip, we toss the phrase "People unclear on the concept", which I would put in my personal list of familiar quotations.

The guy in the prison cell saying he’s sorry so he’d like to leave now.
That phrase is so very apt in certain situations. Like when they blew up the parliament in Russia. Oh . . . wait . . .
