UN: Impose global warming laws through the courts
cfact.org ^ | May 25, 2017 | Michael Bastasch

A United Nations report published Wednesday highlights the legal risks that opponents say President Donald Trump faces if he does not withdraw from Paris climate agreement.

The Paris Agreement could be used to force governments, including the Trump administration, “that have adopted climate-oriented laws to implement them,” reads the UN Environmental Program report on global warming litigation.

The report claims that litigation “has arguably never been a more important tool to push policymakers and market participants” to fight global warming.

President Donald Trump promised to “cancel” the Paris Agreement on the campaign trail, but his White House is split on the issue. Opponents of the Paris Agreement argue that failure to withdraw could give environmentalists a legal avenue to keep Obama-era global warming policies in place.

“‘Crucial legal predicate for pushing governments is code for the hook that activist green groups, attorneys general and courts are looking for,” Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The UNEP report notes that while Paris does not impose legally-binding requirements for countries to cut greenhouse gas emissions, it “enables litigants to construe governments’ commitments and actions as being adequate or inadequate.”

From the article:

The Paris debate has divided the Trump administration.

White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt support withdrawing from Paris. Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Energy Secretary Rick Perry support remaining in Paris.

And there lies the problem; President Trump needs to make a courageous decision and reject this travesty.

“force governments....have adopted climate-oriented laws”

Suppose we just un-adopt those laws.

Isn’t it amazing how the Left always wants to impose their will on others, using the courts to do so?

“Democracy” to the left does NOT mean elections.

“Democracy” to the left means using coercion to achieve their goals.

President Donald Trump promised to “cancel” the Paris Agreement on the campaign trail, but his White House precious little princess is split on the issue.

Fixed.

If Trump goes ahead with the Paris accord it’s game over, man. Game over.

UN Impose....Laughable!!!

Eat $hit UN — America is a sovereign nation, currently we still take our sovereignty very seriously and it is undisputed...Are you going to march your blue helmet army into the US of A and impose the law, yeah, good F’n luck with that. You will have to wait until the stupid American people elect an American hating president again, like oblahblah...Until then, STFU losers!

To this point, they haven’t proposed a single law/agreement/policy that will affect future climate (unless you consider a few hundredths of a degree significant).

Whether eco-fanatics want to talk about the Copenhagen proposal, the Paris agreement, international discussions between or before those, Obama’s EPA policies, California’s actions and proposals, or anything else, nothing has even been talked about that would decrease future temperature by more than thermometer reading errors. Bill Nye’s “100% renewable by 2050” would make a difference. But nobody is telling us how they plan to get there and nobody is talking legislation/agreements/policy to do anything close to that.

Instead of changing temperatures, the proposals
* redistribute money (from wealthy to governments, bankers, “green technology” fraudsters, and developing nations)
* limit growth of developed nations
* stop development of developing nations
* make environmentalists feel good

There are NO proposals that come close to their stated goals. Supporters are either extremely stupid or are hiding their true agenda or both.

This thing never went to the Senate. It did not follow treaty protocol.

Trump should sent the Paris Accord to the Senate and let them shoot it down in flames like the Kyoto Protocol. Progressive Senators talk a good game to get money from constituents, but when it comes time to actually vote, they cave.

#6: "If Trump goes ahead with the Paris accord it’s game over, man. Game over."

Sad but true. My guess is that if he decides to go with the Paris accord, then he's already decided not to seek a second term. Who would listen to him the second time around? Fool me once …

It works. Politicians find an easy out to betray the citizens by claiming that “their hands are tied” and that they must “follow the law”

If you have ANYONE in your orbit who has fallen for Algore's personal multi-million dollar wealth enhancement SCAM, forward this post and the 3 videos attached.

While I'd urge you to watch them in their entirety, I will save you some time by breaking these down one of them so you can get to the guts of the message.

If you're asking yourself WHY this is extraordinarily important NOW, PRESIDENT TRUMP WILL SOON DECIDE IF THE U.S. IS TO REMAIN IN THE INTERNATIONAL WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION (MOSTLY OURS) SCAM KNOWN AS THE PARIS CLIMATE AGREEMENT!

HERE'S THE PROBLEM: HIS DAUGHTER, IVANKA, HER HUSBAND and REX TILLERSON STILL SUPPORT THE DAMN THING!

TRUMP IS SCHEDULED TO MAKE THAT DECISION VERY, VERY SOON!

IF he is swayed by them or others & keeps us in the Paris deal, as strong a Trump supporter as I have been, it pains me to admit that I will need to SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER that support! If he goes the wrong way on this one, we may have more such problems down the road.

Watch from beginning until the 3 minute mark. This guy HAS no facts and continues parroting Algore's nonsense. But if you just need a good laugh, watch the entire 9+ minutes.

Global warming Is a Blatant Lie & this Short video proves it .

To understand WHY this Sierra Club guy sounds like a parrot, these next two videos will help:

Global Warming; 31,487 Scientists say NO to Alarm”

Dr.Jay Lehr - the slide show I showed Trump

ASAP, VISIT THE WHITE HOUSE COMMENT SITE AND LET TRUMP KNOW HOW YOU STAND:

I'm with you, if he caves on this AGW BS, he is listening to all the wrong people and he will lose a lot of supporters.

BTW, I saw these videos on FR's FB page.

Historically, CO2 spikes came after temperature spikes, nothing we can do will be effective. 100% renewable, if it is anything like current electric cars or ethanol, actually cause more CO2 output in total than the fuels they replace.

U.S. Laws are initiated in the U.S Congress and signed and enforced by the President, with U.S. Constitutional Limits. Nothing in there about “adopting” international, euroweenie socialist “laws”.

[[Opponents of the Paris Agreement argue that failure to withdraw could give environmentalists a legal avenue to keep Obama-era global warming policies in place.]]

ABSOLUTELY they will- so tell us- who the HELL is ‘on the fence’ in the republican party about the climate agreement? only a freakin idiot or an unrepentant Thief would think that ANY part of the agreement is worthy knowing full well that once we sign onto it we’re ‘bound by international law’

[[President Trump needs to make a courageous decision and reject this travesty.]]]

He needs to honor his campaign promise-

President Trump seems to have made the right nomination for his first Supreme Court opening. Now he needs to get the rest of his federal court nominations right too. I hope he has a large and capable team working on each region at each level. We need to win each election, and we need to load the courts with judges who believe in the rule of law.
