More than a dozen retired generals and admirals have signed a letter to President Trump thanking him for his announced policy to ban transgender people from the armed forces.
We write today to express our gratitude to you for making the extremely courageous decision to reverse President Obamas transgender social experiment, the conservative retired flag officers wrote. There may be an enormous amount of vitriol directed at you for making this policy correction, but please know that overturning this policy may have done more in the long-term to save the culture and war-fighting capacity of the U.S. military than perhaps any other military policy you will adopt as president.
The letter came as the Palm Center, a research nonprofit that promotes the LGBT agenda, released a competing statement from 56 retired admirals and generals who say reimposing the ban will hurt readiness, not help it.
The Commander in Chief has tweeted a total ban of honorably serving transgender troops, the statement said. This proposed ban, if implemented, would cause significant disruptions, deprive the military of mission-critical talent, and compromise the integrity of transgender troops who would be forced to live a lie, as well as non-transgender peers who would be forced to choose between reporting their comrades or disobeying policy.
Among the statements signatories: retired Marine Gen. John Allen, former deputy commander of U.S. Central Command; retired Vice Adm. Donald Arthur, former surgeon general of the Navy; and retired Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy, the first woman to achieve three-star rank in the Army.....

Bless them.
An active duty Admiral berated it, said he wouldn’t execute it, and laid out his plan for resisting it.
He hasn’t been fired yet, and none of the retired Generals around Trump, nor Pence (veep being the traditional “attack dog”) have called this crap out.
Say what you want about him, if an Admiral said something like that about an Obama policy, Biden would -instantly- attack. So would his NSC. So would his Sec Def. The DOJ would launch a treason investigation, and the IRS would audit him. The CIA would release emails of whoever he was doinking on the side.
Nobody has Trumps back. None of his people do.
And these Generals and Admirals who DO have Trumps back. Howzabout firing McMaster and Kelly and getting people in there who are 100% MAGA?
I think that was the Coast Guard Commandant.
Yep. Can you imagine had that been the Coast Guard Commander under Obama? He would have been relieved of Duty by the end of the day?
This list of 56 Admirals and Generals seems like it will be a nice place to start looking for replacements!
The Admiral was the Commandant or Asst Commandant of the Coast Guard. He did slip up and admit there are only 13 cross dressers in the Coast Guard, giving even more lie to the claim there are 15,000 cross dressers in the military as a whole. And yes, he should have already been fired but after Trump’s tweet, I have seen nothing on actually putting the policy into effect.
I was a classmate of Lt Gen Mixon at North Georgia College, now The University of North Georgia. He was two years ahead of me but we were both in the Corps of Cadets and he was the commander his senior year. He was no nonsense then and still is. He was Randy Mixon in college, we are very proud of him still.
I would expect Trump to have him fired right away. We will see.
Makes me Giggle that Odumbo can’t do anything about it :)
Attack this from the “medically reliant” individuals and you will focus on the real issue. You don’t fill a military with individuals that require medical attention to sustain themselves. Transgenders require surgeries, hormone shots, psychiatric care, etc.
Thank you...may you be blessed....
Probably near retirement wants to get fired and become a MSM martyr hero
The flat out lie that “dozens” of former officers are criticizing Trump is just that: lying propaganda.
A good place to start would be in re-instating the Commanders where were let go for political reasons under Obama.
