I received this email message from a long-time, trusted friend. The individual who sent it to him admitted there was no way to vet the document or its authenticity as a message from President Trump.
One thing, however, is certain—it’s the sort of fix Donald Trump would propose and heartily endorse. Ed.

I'm asking everyone to forward this email to a min of 20 people, & to ask each of them to do likewise.
In three days, most people in the United States, with e-mail, will have the message. This is an idea that should be passed around, regardless of political party.
The Congressional Reform Act of 2017 will include: 1 No Tenure/No Pension. A Congressman/Congresswoman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office. Why should they? With this law in force a lot less money will be spent trying to get elected.
2 Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security. a. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. b. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. c. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3.Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5.Congress loses their current health care system & participates in the same health care system as all American's.
6.Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7.All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/31/17.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people, then it will only take three days for most people in the U.S. to receive the message.

Beyond the presumption as to whether Donald Trump is in any way, shape, form or manner connected to this particular list, there are some pretty good suggestions included. But to ever expect ANY member of Congress to introduce such a compilation of demands upon themselves, much less ever vote on it or pass it, is sheer fantasy.
But I do understand the pent-up fury behind this proposal.

So how does whether or not it actually came from trump affect whether or not it is a valid idea? or perhaps you should just start calling everyone that disagrees with Obama racist, I mean If you’re gonna use silly straw man arguments you might as well go full libtard.
The email states what all of US have been saying for how many years now? If this did not come from our President, the writer, most certainly, is on of US, a like minded individual who had the ingenuity to get his message (which I might add MOST (other than any congress critter) agree.

But....The suggestions are good ones.

I have ‘suggested’ before that we pick a number, be it 2 10 or whatever million as the annual salary.
Govt provide 2 FREE trips to DC from his/her/its HOME DISTRICT to DC where a Building will be set aside to house the MEMBER. Meals and lodging will be provided ‘free’. If a ‘National Emergency’ arises, the ‘Govt’ will pay for getting them here.
Most day to day work can be done by computer, live in your district for the year and let THEM see how you conduct yourself on THEIR dime.
If you want to hire your wife, mother, grandmother etc, no problem. The money is YOURS to pay your staff with.
If the STATE has to pay your salary, people may be a little more diligent in whom they select to represent THEM, not how much ‘you can amass for YOURSELF’

No it doesn’t because like most sane people I can separate the body of the message being the idea that Congress should follow the laws it passes and not benefit financially from service from the silly premise that the message originated from Mr Trump
