Then one day a super job came open within the company and we all applied for it.
He got the job even though he could not meet the requirements. It pays to have a daddy who schmoozes up to the higher ups inside the company.
We later figured his promotion was a “reward” for his old man’s company loyalty.
It completely destroyed any faith the rest of us had in the word of the management.
