I tried to watch the Jessica Jones series and just couldn’t take her. I didn’t watch the Luke Cage series. Daredevil and Iron Fist were okay.
The whole heroes concept on streaming and TV channels is getting old.
Narcos . Rush recommended and I’ve been binge watching. It is very well done piece of historical drama. It could also be a good tool for anyone wanting to hone their Spanish linguistic skills.
I watched Jessica Jones for a few episodes. Lesbian revenge porn.
I do like the streaming services (Netflix/Amazon Prime) putting all of the episodes online at the same time. I prefer binging and like watching 2 or 3 or 4 episodes at one sitting.
However, watching 6 to 13 episodes and then having to wait a year or more to get the next ‘season’ is problematic. I forget what most of the previous season was even about. Frequently, I have to look at the total number of seasons of a series to see whether I already watched it.
Amazon Prime is cutting back on the number of originals they are producing. Neither Netflix nor AP have been adding many newer movies. AP is acquiring quite a few old movies.
Jon Bernthal as the Punisher was fantastic in the excellent (writing and acting) Daredevil Netflix series, so the Punisher will probably be very good.
Iron Fist got progressively worse as it moved through its Season.
Jessica Jones got better with each episode, but it was actually so dark by the end, that I am unsure that I could take another Season if it is to be forthcoming.
Daredevil might just be more interesting than the Punisher, but we’ll see, I guess. Part of what made season 2 for me was the conflict between Matt and Frank and how they disagreed on how to handle criminals.
Agreed, iron fist was a whiner. I watched 4 episodes of Luke Cage but it was boring.
Defenders was pretty good. Not as much character stuff but more action.
I thought Daredevil was very good. Jessica Jones was kind of hard to get into. Not only is her character rather grating, but it was a pretty weak story. Iron Fist was rated low on Netflix but I thought it was pretty good. REALLy looking forward to Punisher. Jon Bernthal is a great actor and is probably the best Punisher. That said, I think Netflix is suffering from Marvel saturation.

Luke Cage is as good as Daredevil season 1. Much better than Iron Fist.
