TV is not worth our time. The only reason to watch it is to get you to watch the adds. Without TV’s ridiculous rantings the world seems a much friendlier place. Just saying hello to people you pass while walking seems to be difficult for some folks, but they do respond, if somewhat reluctantly

The only reason to watch it is to get you to watch the adds. Some of the ads are very creative and amusing. We have watched the Superbowl just for the ads (well, also the halftime show), although it seems we must discontinue that practice.
Here are two of my favorite ads of all time:
R Lee Ermey Geico ad
Cat herding (Note: you have to skip past an ad to see the linked ad.)

TV is not worth our time. So true. More and more I am hearing people say they have stopped watching the news.

Excellent point. As a hardcore political junky, I use to tune into CNN and MSNBC just to see what the clowns were saying--no more. The rantings are pure poison, not worthy of ANY discussion or comsideration, unless you enjoy watching mental illness on parade. This line from Bob Dylan pretty much sums it up--
The news of the day is on all the time All the latest gossip, all the latest rhyme Your mind is your temple, keep it beautiful and free Dont let an egg get laid in it by something you cant see
