Failed State California: Overtaxed, Overregulated, Overopinionated, and Underhanded
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/12/18 | Katy Grimes

California's highest-in-the-nation taxes: Schools rank at the bottom, Infrastructure is deteriorating, Gas tax revenue is used for social programs, Highest poverty in the nation,Recreational pot is now legal, Governor, obsessed with climate change

More is never enough for California politicians, as evidenced by our highest-in-the-nation taxes. The once-Golden State of opportunity and innovation ranks 48th in the Tax Foundation’s 2018 State Business Tax Climate Index. Again. Back in 2012 I wrote about our lousy 48th ranking, and that was before Gov. Jerry Brown’s Proposition 30 passed, which dramatically increased sales and income taxes. And it was before the California Legislature passed yet another massive gas/diesel tax on the state’s drivers, making California’s the highest gas taxes in the nation.

Our neighboring states ranked far better in the 2018 State Business Tax Climate Index: Arizona ranked 21st. Nevada ranked 5th. Oregon ranked 10th.

Gas tax revenue is used for social programs.

[social programs] == [vote buying for Democrat politicians]

Tonight, Governor Jerry Brown is having some people over to the mansion for dinner.

The main course is “Rat-Poison Killed Spotted Owl With Turnips”.

Kalifornia, where a handful of people can decide the
fate of millions.

Ok, it will add a thousand miles to the border but
fence them OUT!

California has become a one party state.

The Republican party is all but invisible and the main stream media all openly support the liberal agenda.

Bankruptcy is the only thing that will save California.

the leftist political hacks have destroyed the once-paradisical Golden State. They’ve sucked up and stolen all of its citizens’ gold....and turned the place into a hellhole

One effect of the high fuel taxes is that out of State truckers fuel outside of California, deliver, pick up, and leave California without spending a cent on fuel while here.

The volume of trucks NOT fueling in California effects California taxes tremendously. It’s another Democrat fail.

while cities and many other smaller units of government are allowed to file for bankruptcy, the US Bankruptcy Code does not permit extend this privilege to states (at least since 1937, see the law’s definition of “municipality”).

Second, but more importantly, the US Constitution bars states from abrogating their contracts (Article 1, Section 10).

so, many cities and districts could file for bankruptcy, yes, but not the State of Californcation

California would be returned to two-party state system if motor voter is repealed, absentee balloting severely limited, voter fraud properly investigated. My first vote at 18, living in CA at the time, I had to show my id which matched the address on the registration.

The state is NOT uniformly democrat or republican. Never was, never will be. But the R’s move out over time due to the hopelessness of influencing the body politic. And the Republican leadership morphed into politically correct fearful weaklings.

Eventually Trump will get around to the issue of vote fraud. But without a Federal level involvement, blue states will continue to manufacture votes PRN.

OK

Let’s say you and your company want some California taxpayer money.

I’m talking real money, not dollars for selling the government stuff.

How do you really pull in the bucks?

Fake invoices paid late and in a hurry?

Charge higher prices and let the government claim it’s necessary because they pay late?

There is no company in California that can afford to carry the state on Accounts Receiveable for a long time unless there’s some cheating going on.

Has to be cheating going on, and the ones getting cheated are the California Taxpayers.

mail in ballots are the worst. criminals control much of the voting through the Mexican Mafia. In some neighborhoods/districts voters much bring their ballots to be filled out in front of the criminals (democrats), then signed, sealed and turned in the criminals for mailing.
