Pelosi and Schumer declared victory on Friday following President Trump’s fake veto, i.e. after The Donald signed a monster spending bill which blows the budget into oblivion. However, Trump promised  this will never happen again after signing the 1.3 trillion dollars omnibus spending bill that was passed by the Republican dominated Congress. The omnibus bill does not address the border wall nor immigration issues. Trump complained that the Congress “created a series of documents that nobody was able to read”, hinting at the 2000+ pages of documents passed by the legislature, with lawmakers having less than 36 hours to read it. Needless to say, Democrats were celebrating on Friday at the news that Trump will sign the omnibus bill, as the POTUS initially announced he may veto the spending bill, yet he changed his mind and signed it after all, despite “being unhappy about it”, to quote the President’s own words.

A veto would not have accomplished anything if it was overridden.

An override isn't a guarantee by the way. He could have at least tried.

If the bill was veto-proof, why did he sign? This was the hill upon which to fight. He chose not to. That was a mistake.

If he had vetoed it, Schumer/MCconnel would have just let the Govt shutdown in 12hrs, then override the veto ending the Trump shutdown and receive the fawning praise as saviors by the LSM. It's all optics to the House/Senate leaders.

Donald Trump is far and away a better than the alternative candidate we were offered - but I am just so frustrated at being screwed over by republican politicians again and again and again.

Truth be told, it’s my own fault. I actually dared to hope he was different from other politicians.

Now it looks like he’s just another RINO in a large herd of RINOS.

I’ll vote for him again if he runs in 2020, but unlike 2016 I will not proudly wear an “I Voted” sticker on my jacket afterwards.

I don’t think the Dems need anything to be done about DACA. I think they are confident they can maintain the status quo because the courts are not going to let DACA be rescinded.

Trump didn’t beat Hillary by many votes. He just lost a boatload of votes and the 2020 election (to someone who will probably make Obama look tame) unless something extraordinary happens.

...and that something may be a horrifying war. There is nothing here to be positive about. I could not be more disappointed in Trump.
