There is no treachery that escapes Obama and the Democrats. Here’s the money quote from that article:

I am from Missouri. Still a long way off, if ever. Yes, investigations take time, but how long? While the rule of law is corrupted, Mueller shines on, perverting everything in his wake.

That was true. Fusion GPS was first hired by Washington Free Beacon during the primaries. Wikipedia doesn’t say who they supported and I am on a phone and can’t research much now, but Karl Rove is a guy associated with this paper.
Ah! I re-read my original post and saw two things...
First, I think my post was unclear and wrong in the respect of investigations...those investigations are not DOJ investigations under any kind of special prosecutor, per se...they are Inspector General investigations (what we are used to calling “Internal Affairs” investigations) and have been underway for some time now. (McCabe was only the first one to go down, there will be others) These investigations have been going on at the FBI primarily dealing with the conduct of the FBI probe into the Clinton email servers and related investigations, if I understand that correctly. (I was furiously typing that post trying to finish it and get out the door for something)
Secondly, these are getting poor visibility in the press for obvious reasons. In all of these scandals, the media has been either unwitting dupes at best, or more commonly , complicit participants in the illegality. Even today, they are doubling down with the “Russian Collusion” story, even though everyone but their viewing public now knows it was simply false at best, and a smoke screen (most likely) at worst. The Dems clearly all know this as well.
However, the media has meticulously downplayed anything that contradicts this “Russian Collusion” fantasy (deliberately providing nearly zero context when something comes out that detracts from it, so that anything the contradicts it looks like an isolated incident of some kind. And anywhere they can make it look washy and unimportant or only remotely related, they do so. As a result, the vast number of people who still lamely depend on the alphabet news and the likes of the New York Times will still think there was “Russian Collusion”.
