It's not just California. Any State with a large number of Illegal Aliens is getting extra seats in the House and extra electoral votes, which ARE taken away from other States.
This is the one and only true reason the Left wants to give Illegals everything under the sun... VOTES!

Assuming there are 12 million illegal aliens in the US (and it’s probably double or triple that), that’s more illegals than the combined population of Wyoming, Vermont, DC, North Dakota, Alaska, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Hawaii, and Idaho.
I have lived in Japan for 32 years . Cannot vote . Impossible . Impossible for Japanese to vote multiple times . Not rocket science . Why can’t the US sort this out ?
Time to DEPORT a huge number of the hoard accounting for these undeserved extra UNDESERVED electoral votes (and corresponding extra UNDESERVED Congressional seats).
Do it by 2020 and, after the 2020 census, the UNDESERVED EXTRA ELECTORAL VOTES & CONGRESSIONAL SEATS WILL BE REALLOCATED TO OTHER STATES.

I agree 100%.
But, I would expect a huge (and dishonest, self-serving) argument from the Dems about the constitutional meaning of representation. The Constitution denied voting rights to slaves, but counted them as 3/5 of a person for the purpose of computing population for apportioning the House of Representatives. Do aliens get 100% counted, because they are people, and they "need" services (Dem position), or zero counted, because they shouldn't be here and have a claim on the government (our position), or 3/5 representation, which would leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth, for ever?

Not that the democrats will EVER vote for this, but we need to:
1. Build the wall.
2. Enforce the law with regards to businesses knowing hiring illegals. Jail for owners.
3. 50% tax on electronic remittances to Mexico.
4. More raids, more border patrol agents, more immigration judges.
It's a good way to start getting the numbers right.
Considering what that Mexican presidential candidate was spewing, seems as though someone would like to create a defacto "American Union", like the EU.
Eliminating their ability to get work, non emergency health care, any welfare benefits and citizenship for those born in the us to illegals could work better than a wall.

Now this is real data that matters. The data rest on estimates of the size of the illegal population in California.
It occurred to me that the reason the democrats will not embrace Trump’s offer to resume the taking of DACA applications is that such a process exposes who the illegal population is and what their statistics are.
Trump’s off to resume DACA processing doesn’t mean every applicant would be approved. I would expect very few would be approved. But in any event, it would shine a lot of light on who and where illegals are.
Wow, this answers many questions and satisfies longstanding suspicions.
Now it is understandable why the Left objects to CENSUS surveys that ask about citizenship status.
Now it is understandable why Mexican-American and illegal families are coached to embellish/inflate their numbers when a Census taker asks how many are in their family. I have personally witnessed a Mexican-American woman with a family of 5 tell a Census worker her family size was 11.
