I describe them as cynical towards society and - inevitably - naive about government. What you describe is definitely cynicism directed towards opponents of socialism.
Thank you for your explanation. I appreciate it.
You and others are certainly free to criticize these bloggers.
They are somewhat free to try their way of posting. The really bad ones will eventually get zapped by admins.
I understand having a _feeling_ of ownership when one contributes. Please keep in mind the difference between this and any actual share of ownership or privilege. They are not the same.
That is true that ownership and privilege are not the same...those who donate money to the site have no more say than those who don’t from what I can tell.
But I strongly suspect that those who have been on since 1998 and been voluntary contributors do feel that their opinion carries more weight than someone who signed up today and isn’t paying any money to Jim Rob!
For what it is worth, I personally don’t get much into criticizing bloggers...that isn’t why I am here...although I did add my voice when I got curious on that other person and looked up his posting history (The screen capture at post #54) I posted to the person..not flames, but almost verbatim: “That isn’t right...”
I am not here to police...I would rather just give someone a polite head’s up that the train might be heading their way...
I really appreciate your thoughtful and explanatory reply.
I’ve only been here since 2000!
I don’t think you were hard on the new FReeper. I hope he/she will successfully get through the initial few days here as we both know it’s not a place for snowflakes!
Take care and again I appreciate interacting with you.
Likewise, old-ager!
Likewise...:)
